I decided to go to the Magic Kingdom on my birthday today and when i checked in the resort last night they gave me a listing of hours for the week. I was planning on staying for the EMH since all last week it was showing the park closing at 10pm with EMH being from 10pm - 1am. Sometime between the time I checked the hours last week and this weekend they changed the hours. The Magic Kingdom closes tonight at midnight with EMH being 12am - 3am:sohappy:.
I got to the park right before opening and was able to walk on a lot of rides with little wait. It started to pick up around 1pm, but was still not as busy as I have seen it in August.
I checked in at the Pop Century using the online checkin service and last monday called and requested a room in the 80's. When I got to the resort they had three cast members doing the online checkin service and the cast member who waited on me noticed that they had given me a room in the 50's instead of the 80's. She made a call and was able to switch me to the 80's and I have a poolside view. Late last night it hit me that my new room number is my month and year of birth after the building number. I will have to buy a lottery ticket today as that was pure luck.
I will be posting a few pictures from my birthday trip tuesday night after work. I drove 12 hours yesterday to get down here and then hit seaworld when I arrived in the evening. I will be hitting Universal before I drive 12 hours to get back home tomorrow. I will be exhausted, but it is definitely worth it.
