I think it's a great week to go! Maybe it's because we'll be there from April 21st to the 27th but everything I've looked at and heard say it's perfect. It's far enough away from Easter and Spring Break yet well before school starts to let out. I think historically it's one of the lightest times of year in terms of attendance and the weather is usually nice - ie not too hot. We went before during the 1st week of May and the crowds were great.

We were there the same time last year and it was hot, sunny and not too busy. Perfect in fact :sohappy:

We have gone around that time the past few years and every year the crowds are very different. Some years we can walk on almost every ride and others were lucky if anything is less than a half hour wait.
This year we are going from the 17th to the 25th and are expecting moderate high crowds because of a few reason.
1. A lot of New Englanders are on Spring Break
2. Grad Nights are at the end of the week.

We always goes at this time we are going 4/24 to 5/3 and we love it grad night is never an issue weather has always been nice not to much rain. We can hardly wait.

Thank goodness I found this thread! This really helped me out. I am trying to plan out a trip for end of April beginning of May. Good to know the crowds aren't bad and the weather is good. However what is best...last week of April or First week of May?

I really don't think it matters if you are flying check both weeks and see if there is a differance. Play around with the dates.

It is a great time to go. But I would double check and see if there any School functions (i.e. Grad Nights) going on. I think they start more in May - but I am not sure. You'll be there for the International Flower Show - at least the end of it.
