AP Rates for August - October

I happened to check Mousesaver.com, and the AP rates for August - October are out. The code is EXI. I just called and booked the Pop Century for Sep 11 - 17 at $59 a night. Yay!

I'm glad this thread has generated so much comment. (Hey! I started it! :sohappy: ) I am curious - Another non-Florida resident mentioned that when he tries to log on to the passholder site he gets the Florida site, asking for a Florida zip code - this has been true for me for the past year - The site tries to tell me I'm from Florida and I can't access it! Anybody else have this problem? :hammer:

Yes!! I'll try it again, though - I have NEVER gotten ANY e-mails about special rates and I've purchased annual passes for the last three years!!! :hammer:

We got the e-mail earlier today, but the rates don't seem as good as last year. I think it worked out to be about 17%. GF rooms are $340/night. Ouch!

Does anyone know what the AP rates are like for concierge-level rooms? Do AP holders still get the general discount of $70/night for Deluxe resorts or is it something different?

Not sure where you are getting the $70/night figure from, but the discounts are generally different each time. You can check mousesavers for previous discounts on Deluxe - they do vary. Best thing you can do is call CRO and find out exactly what the discount will be on your choice of resort. The passholder email (at least mine) only noted the price on Value resorts as $59.

Someone above mentioned that this is less of a discount than before. I think that's because these rates cross two seasons - regular (August) and Value (Sept/begining of Oct). The $49 rate would have been nice - but to be honest I'm just glad we at least got the $59.

I'm hoping a $49 rate comes out in the next batch for the rest of October, as I'm planning on staying later than the rest of my family. Right now, even if the $49 rate comes up for October I technically could rebook part of my trip to save a few dollars (since the end of the current period ends right in the middle of our trip), but it's not worth the hassle to save a few bucks. Instead, when the next batch of rates comes out I'm just going to book one room (instead of two) for a few extra days at the end, on a seperate ressie.

Whew, I was not expecteing all this today! This is pretty early for the discounts to come out, but I'm glad no more waiting/hoping/worrying that they won't. $59 is still dang cheap - I couldn't stay at a roadside motel in my area for that price, let alone DISNEY WORLD. :)

The new "EXI" AP rate is indeed $70 off for deluxe resorts.

*snip*

From Mousesavers. This batch of discounts = $70 off per night at deluxe resorts on average. My question was basically whether or not concierge rooms are included in the discounted rates...

And yay! They are... This definitely may change my plans for August! I may just have to invest in an AP, go this year AND next year when I finish my indentured servitude (i.e. articling) once and for all!!!! :sohappy:

Yay I'm so excited! I didn't even check here yesterday but I called Disney when I noticed the discount on Mousesavers this morning.

I skipped the AP discount and went right for the military discount. I got a courtyard view at Wilderness Lodge for $153 and a Lagoon view at Poly for $280!!! I am staying a total of 9 nights with these awesome views for less than $2,000! That's basically how much it would cost to have standard views at both resorts without discounts. I'm so excited!!!

Rates last year for the "Values" were $47 and $57. Just an observation, but the AAA discount of 20% is the same as AP, so having an AP is not helping those only going during the value season this year.

Clarification: for the 2005 Aug-Oct Value Season:

Resort___Rack____Best____AP
_________Rate_____AAA__Rate
_________________Rate

Value______77___61.60____59
Mod_______134__107.20____89
AKL_______199__169.15___129
BW/BC/YC__294__249.90___224

So, as you can see, although sometimes they are close, the AP rate is always lower, sometimes much lower, than the AAA rate.

P.S., I can't see how to get the 17% quoted in an earlier post. Perhaps this if for the GF (as the GF rate is mentioned in the post). All the AP discounts in the table above are more than 23%. The AKL discount is over 35%.

Final question about the AP rates: Can one AP holder book more than one room, or does there have to be one AP holder per room? Finally, if it's the latter, then can you get MYW tickets plus dining for the people who aren't AP holders in those rooms? Thanks!

The current Annual Passholder offers all do include concierge level rooms.

Excluded from the offer is all suites and 3 bedroom Grand Villas.

Hope this helps! :sohappy:

You can book up to 3 rooms at the discount, however you cannot get the MYW/dining package and get the rate.

Let me assist on your question...

Annual Passholder can book up to 3 rooms (on 3 separate reservations to separate each room charge) and use the discount offer as long as:

*The passholder books all reservations.
*The reservations are at the same Disney resort with the same or overlapping dates.
*The passholder is the first scheduled to arrival if dates are not the same.
*The passholder is present when the other guests check-in to validate the discount offer.
* Each room reservation must be in the names of the guest staying in that room.

A guest cannot book 2 separate reservations in the SAME name and address as one person cannot physically be in two rooms at once. Doing so can cause both reservations to auto-cancel by the system.

To book a reservation for another guest (and use your AP discount offer) you must have the full legal name of all guest staying in the room, designate an adult in the room as the lead guest, and provide the full address and phone number of the lead guest. The passholder's name will not be on the reservation but will be listed as a contact, allowing both the passholder or the guests in the room to modify or cancel the reservation if needed.

The reservation agent will book each reservation in the name and address of the room's occupants (listing your name as the contact and passholder in internal notes) and link the reservations as a travel with. This way the resort will know to place the rooms together.

Do remember the dinning plan is part of a vacation package, not a ticket option.

The "Magic Your Way Package Plus Dinning" vacation package includes:
Accomodations at a Disney owned and operated resort for 1 to 10 nights
A Magic Your Way ticket of your choice
Disney's Dinning Plan = 1 table service meal, 1 counter service meal, 1 snack per night, per guest (age 3+) for the length of their stay.

All guest in the same room must be on the same package and choose the same ticket length and options. You may choose a MYW ticket for 1 to 10 days, regardless of the length of the resort stay.

Hope this helps! :sohappy:
