just the ambiance alone should put the entire Disney park in the top 4. Where else do you have fireworks every day, behind a castle, in the middle of a lake surrounded by countries of the world...gotta be at the top.

Go watch Illuminations during the Christmas holidays if you want to see something really special. I though Wishes was great, but this blew it, and every other fireworks show I have ever seen, completely out of the water.

They also put D.C in front of N.Y. I have seen both and there is no comparison. I have to say, I saw the 4th of July illuminations show in one of Martin's tributes and it looked pretty darn good.

You pretty much summed up why I think that WDW's fireworks (Magic Kingdom's fireworks in particular) are the best firework displays in the entire world.

People sometimes like to say that all firework shows are alike...

But fireworks in front of Cinderella Castle is something that is truly magical!

I really think that the MK fireworks should be ranked higher on that list. I've seen DC's and Philly's before. They're excellent. Imagine Disney fireworks on an even larger scale.

As much as i love the pyro-crew at WDW and the stuff they do and the shows they give, I really like seeing different shows. I like seeing when the APA (american pyrotechnic association) has its convention at Disney. Ever see dueling fireworks shows, 20 minutes at a time over Seven Seas Lagoon? Damm impressive.

I like the way Disney forces the fireworks industry to improve with technology. I like the timecode controlled launching, i like a good animated show and something thats not too long.

That being said, there really is nothing like looking down the expanse of the National Mall and seeing nothing but shell after shell after shell after shell all exploding at once.

I just see Cindy's castle as being a patriotic emblem of America. I love it, but its not what i think of when i think of July 4th.

Boy, do I disagree here. The only Fourth of July fireworks show I actually remember was the one that I saw in DC. Nothing can beat watching it in the Nation's capital.

I was distributing EMH wristbands last Sunday night during the first preview of Celebrate America and I have to say after seeing NYE and Holiday Fireworks at both MK and Epcot, this was Disney's greatest fireworks show yet.

We were in WDW last 4th, saw both shows. Thought they were spectacular. But not knowing how some of the other shows around the country, or for that fact around the world, ( they may include those too ) I still think that both shows should be ranked much MUCH higher than the one was. Granted we were in the wrong place to see the MK show, but, from where we were we could still see alot more than just for wishes. Now as for EPCOT, they were by far the most impressive showing of fireworks I've ever seen, and as far as I'm concerned the NY show only has more pyrotechnics, they aren't set to music as well, and it's a PITA to find a decent place to watch without having to worry about anything you brought being stolen while your watching it. Thankyou, my rant is complete!:D

As far as feeling patriotic, yes I would agree. If we are talking just fireworks, then N.Y. beats it, IMO. I will admit that the howitzer salute in D.C. is cool though.
