Anyone Need Not So Scary Tickets for 10/04/07?

My wife and I planed a Trip for 10/02/07 thru 10/07/07 and decided to cancel due to an invitation to Hawaii later in October. We already had reservation and Not so Scary tickets for 10/04/07. Everything but the Not So Scary tickets were refundable. We have 2 adult tickets for 10/04/07. If anyone is interested please respond. I can give my home phone if you want to chat in person. I can take a check or I even have paypal. The total cost for the 2 tickets were $85.98 including tax and shipping, we'll take $75.00 flat for the two and I have them in hand still on the confirmation sheet. Were a long time Disney fan and have been visiting WDW ever since we were 5 years old. This will be our first year not going in the 9 years since we've been dating and married. Sad but at the same time a invitation to a week and half in Kauai, HI is a chance in a life time thats impossible to pass. Thanks

Welcome to the boards & sorry about the non-refundable tickets and all, but man, don't you feel joining a forum just to sell something is kinda tacky? Not to mention, against the rules you just agreed to when you signed up 2 minutes before your first post?

thanks for your internet wisdom on selling tickets. Figured selling on a more dedicated WDW platform would get more of a serious offer. Annual passholder? I wouldn't even off them to you if you a passholder. Thanks for the warm welcome and since you mentioned it we didn't sign up just to sell tickets. We have been browsing members since april when we came upon this site. Sorry were not WDW internet warriors like yourself's.

Welcome! Please dont't bristle , but the simple fact is that this is not allowed under the rules of this forum. You agreed to not "Post or transmit any unsolicited advertising, promotional materials, "junk mail", "spam", "chain letters", "pyramid schemes" or any other form of solicitation". This may be a gray area of the rules, but a simple check with the moderators would have clarified this for you.

Sorry for upsetting everyone, I realize the rules however I interperated them to apply to someone trying to make a buck rather than help out a WDW fan. I was wrong. Id rather send them to the shredder than deal with internet (and worse yet WDW) smartass's. I figured this thread would go this way. Thanks wana-be Disney fans. You simply exploit your knowledge and intrest in WDW to fend off real fans. Take care.

NO LONGER FOR SALE!

Don't shred them. If you can't get any takers, contact the Make A Wish Foundation. They would be happy to take your donation.

P.S.: Don't worry about the trolls on this board

Irie your so right. I get easily upset when Im trying to be honest and actually pass something onto someone who might put them to use. If I dont get takers I will undoubtfully give them to make a wish. Thanks for your level-headedness. (wish I had more of that)

I wouldn't be to upset Mike, just the normal internet BS one has to sledge through. You made a good offer and hopefully someone can swoop up on the offer. Its obviously not a deal to make money so in reality you are not selling, trying to gain anything. I would of assumed the same thing.

Thinking about it, a good for sale section here with some strict rules like no profiting etc... would be nice. I would a swooped those tickets up if you had them for Sept when we go :)

Yeah, OK, the first thing you do on the board is try to tell something, but *I'M* the smartass/troll for pointing it out. Nice. Tell you what, next time you have a block party, I'll hand out business cards to all your neighbors, "Hi, I'm Slappy Magoo, please use Slappy Magoo, inc for all your Slappy needs," and try to drum up business for myself while you're all trying to enjoy yourselves. See how well THAT goes over.

Regardless of your intentions or your interpretation of the rules you agreed to (great, now WDWMagic has to deal with "signing statements"), if other people aren't allowed to sell off their CDs or DVDs or rent out their DVC points, then nobody should be allowed to. Especially since the administrator relies on advertising. Granted, you're not selling anything anyone else is, but the principle is the same, Nobody joins to hawk their wares.

Just because neither one of us put their best foot forward doesn't mean your input isn't welcome in future threads, FWIW.

Slappy,

If you had a problem with his post/thread, all you had to do was report it to a moderator. Last time I checked, you were not Steve. If Steve has a problem with his post/thread, he will pull it. Until then realize we are all visitors here and deserve to be treated with respect.

OK, I'm too tired and bald to argue. Mike (and Kimmy) I apologize if I came across as brusque. I've just seen and heard of too many people getting burnt by buying stuff online from people on forums like this one (though not necessarily this one). So when someone's first post is an offer to sell, no matter what forum I'm on or what the item for sale is, I'm automatically suspicious, & I get concerned that someone might get snookered. And I'm not saying you're a swindler, what I AM saying is even people on ebay with high positive transaction rates and who use paypal sometimes wind up not delivering what they sell. FWIW, I think the people on this forum are by and large swell folk, and I'd hate to find out the forum was used to take advantage of any of them. It's pretty much why threads like this are often deleted. And also FWIW, I wouldn't have been so knee-jerk if it weren't your very first post. You gotta admit, it'd be easy for someone who didn't know you to suspect you joined just up to unload tickets you can't use, & that wouldn't be conducive to the sense of community people whose efforts I appreciate try so hard to cultivate.

I admit to seeing your point in regards to my tone. I certainly hope you can see my point in regards to my rationale.

You are just being rude!
People do make honest mistakes. Many of us have been coming here for years before we had the need to join. I only joined last year when I had a question I could not find an answer to, it doesn't mean I wasn't surfing long before that.

And you're just being not-thorough. Read the post above yours; I already apologized.

And I never really thought of people NEEDING to join, I thought people joined because they wanted to join. But that's me, I come here cause I like coming here & talking about WDW, I never though about some people coming here because it provides them a service.

Hey Slappy, for what it's worth I think you made a very nice apology. You also were very clear as to your reasons for an initial harsh reaction, which seemed very valid.

I know personally I have had to take a step back on this site a lot and read everything with a grain of salt. I think it's difficult to tell tone or intention in most posts.

I hope everyone can just accept apologies and move on and enjoy the site. :)
