Anyone need a cat?

My dog is the best I've had him since kindergarten, and he is MINE, as in, not the family pet (lol, I hafta make that clear to everyne )...And then my brothers GF moved in with us, and she brought her dog, so now there's 2. I've been begging my parents to let me get another one for a while, so that worked out well. They're both soo cute

Then my iguanas, one is cute, the other is annoying, hehehe

I'm not much of a cat person though. if i'm at a house with a cat, i'll pet it n stuff, hehe, but I don't think I'd want one of my own...my dog would probably eat it, LOL

The dog that I have now was raised with two cats in the house, then when she was about one we got a third cat. She is fine with cats, but she is annoyed by other dogs.

I don't seriously think my dog would eat it, lol...Probably just chase it a lot, hehe

Instead of a "cat man"...we have a pigeon man on my street. he had a bunch of cages in his backyard with pigeons in them. I'm not sure if he still does though. when we were little, my neighborhood friends and I used to say he ate them too hurl: ). I still see him sometimes, and he looks at me like "i know you...and I don't like you." Scaaary :lookaroun :hammer:

Come to think of it...he had a cat also :zipit: (hehe)

Maybe...but that doesn't explain the sudden disappearance of his cat

I know what happened to the pigeons.....the red-tailed Hawks at wdw ate them :lookaroun

I was at the shelter this morning...and the 2 that were in the box together have been named Lilo and Stitch! So evidently there is another Disney lover there besides me.


And can I say, Stitch is a very appropriate name for that cat.

I was just thinking about those cats the other day. We still have the kitten that I was trying to get rid of. I had no intention of keeping it, but it sleeps cuddled up with me every night, and then during the day all three cats sleep cuddled up together. Now I feel bad getting rid of it So I'm afraid you would have won the bet Erika :animwink:

Oh! I am so happy to hear that!

Once they claim you...you just can't let them go!!

We live near a park, so I currently have 6 cats. My vet is really nice...he gives me a "breeder" discount on their shots, etc. EVERYONE around me owns cats because of all of the people that just dump them in the park...but what can you do? (Especially when you have a child saying "Mommy, can we keep it? Puleeeze?")

It just breaks my heart for people to just dump animals out. I don't understand why more people don't get their animals fixed :brick:

That is sort of what happened with this kitten. Little Maegan heard it crying first and then that's all she wrote, because I didn't have a chance with her wanting to keep it. It's amazing to me what the cats put up with with her. She carries them around constantly and they just look around like "Oh Great, she's got me again".

Do any of your cats like sleeping in the sink? I have found both of my grown cats sleeping in seperate sinks many times.

Ours don't usually sleep in the sink but I know other people whose cats do. It's a cool spot, plus, it's the perfect size! Kind of hugs their little bodies.

2 very common reasons I have heard why NOT to spay or neuter:

"I have a male so it doesn't matter" (Grrrrr-- in other words-- "if I don' t have to deal with the consequences, why take responsibility?")

and "I want my kids to experience the miracle of birth" Grrrr again-- Why? Read the following list of statistics comes from the Humane Society of the United States:
