What's your personal experience with it?

I'm turning 21 this summer and wanted to go on one but idk how it works! Which is the best?? How are the food? Entertainment? Rooms? I need first-hand information!

Thanks :D

Edit- my bad, I'm so used to posting in the 'general discussion' that I forgot there was a forum for the cruise line, lol.

Check out the Cruise thread, and more specifically, the Dream Girls cruise that is planned for September, all ladies from this site. It's going to be a blast, and I can't think of a better way to get your feet wet, so to speak. This will be my first cruise, too.

Ive done a disney cruise twice. lOVED it! Both times just two adults. We were never really around any kids. They have adult pool, restaurant, clubs and one end of the island is all adult. It was by far the nicest ship ive been on as far as decor,cabins,etc...highly reccommend for anyone.

Yep, just returned from our 4th Disney cruise. ;)

Head over to the cruise section, hit the FAQs, and start asking all the questions think of. We don't mind. Definitely check out the Dream Girls cruise coming up this September! It's an all-WDWMagic-gals escape that's 2 years in the making! Can't wait!!!

I've been on 5, inclusive to all four ships. Go as soon as you can. You will not regret it at all. Superb food, lots of fun, and just an enchanting atmosphere. It all feels so classy.

If you compare the overall experience (such as amenities and facilities) to other cruising options, Disney is grossly overpriced (IMO). It's not like the differences between WDW and a Six Flags park; as any reputable cruise operator is going to offer top notch service and atmosphere. However, if your priority is character themed wallpaper, then by all means, pay for the Disney experience.

Dang, 4th cruise!! I've never been on a regular cruise before, let alone a Disney cruise. I've been DYING to go though!! And I get discounts from the cruise line, being a Disney employee, so why not right? Omg thinking about it makes me so excited.. Can't wait to pack my bags and go!! Not think about school or anything for a week or two sounds amazing. Gonna head to the cruise line forum and get some information, thanks!!!

Do it! My first cruise was when I was 20 and I went with my 73 year old grandma- not a kid in site! We had a BLAST. The entertainment is awesome, not just the shows (which are spectacular), but the in-room and new release movies on board. We went to Alaska, so I have no experience with Castaway Cay, but now I really want to book a cruise there, too! We were on the Wonder, but I have heard incredible things about the newer ships. Definitely hunt around the discussion boards, that's what I did and the FAQs really really helped planning!
