I totally didn't get that LOL -I know - I was being sarcastic because the OP said they were worried about the movie.
No, I said I was worried about it being a good quality film like we've come to expect from the Pixar name. The pre-Cars 2 era was superb...whereas the Cars 2 & Beyond era has been a bit of a letdown. I was hoping M:U would give us that "wow" factor that all the Pixar films prior to Cars 2 exhibited.I know - I was being sarcastic because the OP said they were worried about the movie.
Do we think Monsters can loan some of their money to Lone Ranger? It's not looking good so far for that film...
I think if Disney is looking for a movie to worry about, it should be Planes. That looks like a flop waiting to take a nose dive.
There is more to cost than the cost to make. Damage to the brand is much more expensive. But it likely cost almost nothing to make compared to Disney's other films this summer.
Disney hasn't learned this lesson yet and I'm sure plenty of new toys will be sold offsetting any concerns that would arise. There is more to cost than the cost to make. Damage to the brand is much more expensive.
