I enjoy it, don't love it though, definitely don't hate it. There are several spots in WDW that is more wasted imo so let's not go there.

May I something to half of the people who posted in this thread? Get some Avatars, I cannot tell the difference between any of you.

I love Captain EO and I want it to stay forever.

It's absolute garbage. HISTA was 100 times better. I still do not understand how people say HISTA was outdated compared to EO. Hello! It's pre-HISTA, it has 80's written all over it.

I don't quite understand why people lambast HISTA as badly as they do. I don't think it was all that awful of a show, and actually, I quite enjoyed it! Sure, I LOVE Captain EO, but I didn't mind HISTA being there either.

I tried to warn my kids but the wouldnt hear it. They wanted to see MJ in EO. When we came out both my kids were stunned. My 14 year old was concerned that what he saw was what the hubby's & my childhood was like, that we lived in a world that considered EO cool. Uh, no. EO was awkward & weird in '86 (I was 12) and it's awkward & weird now. Definitely not a highlight for MJ's career. So for our family, solid thumbs down. But the told-ya-so moment was fab for me.

I liked EO and now enjoy it for it's "80's-ness", I liked HISTA the first couple times I saw it....that said, how about bringing back Magic Journeys? It was timeless albeit a bit weird, but it was effects for effects sake. When we've had enough of EO, if a new concept for the theatre hasn't been imagined yet, I say bring back Journeys, until something new is ready.

Love it and the feeling I get of being a kid watching it again is great. I'll be seeing it twice or thrice this September. :king:

I didn't mind EO but the pre-show video was PAINFUL to watch. Plus you have to stand on a ramp the whole time you are watching/not watching it.

I agree.

That being said, I remember the pre-show for HISTA being awful as well. I never cared for HISTA. I thought it was some of the worst 3D I've ever seen.

Sorry... I found it creepy and bizzarre. I did not see it in the 80's. My brothers and sisters did and loved it. Had it seen it back then I might have liked it. When I saw it this past fall, all I could think of was "Wow this man ended up looking like the child catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and named his kid blanket".

Yeah.... anyway.........

Still love it.

Still miss all the in-theatre effects of the original.

Looking forward to seeing it in-park again next month.
