Anybody know anything about locks/doorknobs?? Please help!!

So. I've officially locked myself out of my bedroom. Don't ask how, because I couldn't tell ya. My cell phone is in there, so I can't call maintenance, as are my clothes, so I can't change out of my ratty pjs and walk to the main office of my apartment complex.

I'm hoping one of you will be able to tell me how I can safely break into my room without (GAH, I just got a text, I heard it from out here) actually hurting my door in any way. The is one of those that you twist the little thing in the middle to lock it, and has a hole on the opposite side. I obviously only have access to the hole.

Any help/advice would be SEVERELY appreciated. Thanks!!

The way the doorframe is built makes it physically impossible to get anything in there...thanks for the advice though.

And I just realized my car keys are in there too. Lovely.

Do you have any neighbors who you don't mind them seeing you in your ratty pjs that you can ask to call maintenance for you?
Do you have a coat or something outside of your room you can put on over your pjs?

Try finding a paper clip that you can bend straight and stick it in the hole and wiggle it around.

My neighbors are all really creepy, haha...and it's about 80 degrees outside, so all of my coats are shoved in the back of my closet in my bedroom, lol.

I was going to walk to the office if I was locked out of my room for more than an hour, but luckily I was able to avoid that

It was an interior door...but I was able to get it unlocked a minute ago, thank goodness.

you dont want to just jiggle it around, you need to go straight into the hole, and you will hit another little thing about as wide as the hole you go through, and you need to push against it, and it should ________ the lock out, usually a metal coat hanger is best. good luck!
