Any word on the new MM&Y replacement?

Updates are different than new shows. Fantasmic is spectacular and just needs some new technology. Illuminations is practically perfect in every way (The only thing that needs updating here are the outdated fountains). Wishes is okay, but people love it and it's a classic fireworks show which is exactly what MK needs. DEP needs to go, but I'm not gonna start that battle here, as long as there is some kind of second nighttime show in mk.
I love Reflections of Earth, but I don't think the globe is as good at being a screen as it should be. That's the one thing I would update in that show.

There should always be fireworks in the MK. Fireworks and shooting stars over the castle are Disney icons - it's at the beginning of their movies, and has represented Disney since Walt built Sleeping Beauty Castle and started The Wonderful World of Color on TV. Lasers couldn't begin to take it's place. Keep the laser shows for the other parks - IMHO, of course.

This show isn't replacing Wishes or any rumored fireworks show......

Celebrate the Magic is scheduled to Debut at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party November 12th, and for Day-Guests the next night, November 13th.

Good to hear. We were already planning on being in the MK on the 13th. Now we get a little bonus (and no way for me to be tempted to watch a spoiler on YouTube beforehand) ;-)

I met and spoke to this past Sunday a tech with MK, and he was telling me about the new castle projection show to be rolled out soon.

Ralph (Wreck-It Ralph) will wreck the castle! And a new Mickey will be saying Good Night to the guests.

I saw a few pictures on his phone. The graphics are amazing! He was really impressed with the new system.

He did not mention a roll out date, but I suspect very soon by the way he was talking. He said they were doing a lot of tweaking on the system, to get exactly what how wanted it all to run. They had been working on it almost each night last week, so I would suspect very soon!

On a side note, he was returning on Monday (29th) to start rehearsals for the MVMCP parade starting on November 9th. They have a week break from the MNSSHP.

Got to love the hard work these people put in for us!!!!

That sounds awesome!!!! I think "Wreck-It Ralph" is going to be a huge hit. It'll be fun to see him "wreck" the castle.

A new Mickey? I too am curious about this.

But PLEASE, TDO...leave in Walt. "To those who come to this happy place...welcome!" That HAS to stay.
