Any word on the new MM&Y replacement?

Wreck-It Ralph is going to smash his way into theaters tomorrow, so something tells me the new projection show may very well be shown tomorrow night, if not sometime this weekend.

I don't think they're waiting until Dec 6th...everything they've released has said November 2012...the question is WHEN in November 2012?

Gee, I thought I was the only one who wasn't excited about Wreck It Ralph. I love video games and Disney/Pixar but this just doesn't interest me at all

I bet Mickey will come on the castle as the park closes through castle projection and do alittle speech or somthing. Obvviously, my trip ends Dec. 5 so I hope they roll this out in November. Can anyone comfirm an opening date for this? Also, Test track is planned to open on Dec.6 Does anyone know if they will be doing soft openings before the 6th?

November 12th is the unofficial date for the projection show. Soft openings for Test Track? It's not looking good. Perhaps a day or two ahead, I would guess.

Your post seemed to indicate that you wanted no part of Wreck it Ralph being associated with the castle show.

My post indicated that I didn't want a 12 minute commercial for it (regardless of how elaborate it may be). If it is a clip or segment - fine. If it's not - that's not cool. Given that guests are practically forced to watch the projection show - if they want to see the fireworks - I do not think using it as advertising would be appropriate.

I would think that it would be rolled in as a portion of the show. Nothing up to this point has indicated anything otherwise.

I agree - I am going to go under the assumption that the show will be a collage of Disney characters and music, just as MM&Y was. However, if it is NOT - regardless of how outstanding "Wreck It Ralph" may be - I (personally) will be annoyed that Disney is looking to use the projection show as a promotional tool, as opposed to delivering a meaningful show that showcases Disney's heritage characters and music that we already know, love, and are emotionally connect with.

Why would it annoy you for them to use the show as a promotional tool? That's the main reason a lot of the things in the parks exist as promotional tools for their movies, at least when they originally opened we can't expect disney to renovate that often. Merida was available for meet and greets before the movie even came out! Just look around a lot of what you see is a promotion for something disney

I think I have already outlined a couple differences in my posts if you want to review them...
