Any word about Pirates upgrade?

I think POTC does need a rehab bad! The parts that I noticed to be the "worst" were the fight on the seas at the beginning and the burning city towards the end. The flame effects in that scene look SOOO fake! I thought to myself every time, "How fake can this look? I mean honestly, its DISNEY...they can do MUCH better than this!" I think tieing in the movie would be kindof cool, but there's a fine line between cool and way too much! Also, at the beginning in the caves, the "Dead men tell no tales" is very hard to understand, and played at little loudly. It needs to be re-recorded, and quited down a bit. Just my thoughts...

I'd be kind of hard to re-record, since Paul Frees has been dead for quite some time.

You can't have POTC without P.F.

And if you don't know who he is, you really should.

I am seriously hoping that the rumored rehad of POTC (a major rehab on the scale of IASW) really does come to WDW. Yes, WDW is a shorter version of Pirates. But what's worse is what that scenes WDW does have are soooo sub-par to DL. And DL is the older ride!!! WDW really need to loosen the purse strings on these rehabs. After Pirates, HM needs a good rehabbing of its sound system (as has been stated). Finally, I'd love to see the Paris version, or an original track, added inside Space Mountain. Open the mountain up and gut it. Then start from scratch like they did at DL.

If you have noticed a trend here, you're right. The trend is this. DL has it right, WDW has it wrong in so many cases. DL even has the better Buzz ride now.

Peter: I agree with all of your reasons as to why HMH will not work at WDW. However, I think your comment that WDW management is giving us the "cheap route" by utilizing the HMH model is somewhat off. Considering that a Nightmare Before X-Mas attraction was never even a possibility at WDW, Disney is actually dropping an incredible amount of money on this proposed overlay. The audio system is going to have to be totally gutted and re-tuned before anything can begin to happen - and that won't be cheap. Factor in labor, manufacture, a new line of merchandise, advertising, and whatever else they decide to do, and we're talking a major investment here.

Consider that DL already knew their "Holiday" overlay concept was viable with Small World Holiday, and that HMH was a mid-priced but carefully put together refurbishment. WDW has no such history and, for once, we're looking at the "suits" dropping a lot of cash on something that is, in no way, a sure thing. Is anybody else at least a little happy about that? WDW has been playing it safe since 1996...

Woah Back up are they making HMonH in WDW?:hammer:

And did they ever consider aNightmareBC ride tha would be awesome!!!
Or just put OOgie in aride with the other villans:D
