Any spots in the parks where the fantasy turns to reality?

Allow me to elaborate.......what I'm referring to is the seeing of objects or people in a way that the illusion or fantasy of being in a magical place gets taken down a notch. For example, Main Street USA is wonderfully themed and designed so that all you see is Main Street USA and the castle ahead of you, all the while those buildings are really facades and built up in a way to hide what's behind them like CM parking and so on. Do you know of any particular places in the parks where you can typically see more than you need or would like to?

Only if you look carefully... :animwink:

OK, one good place is New York Street, though it's meant to be a facade. Same for "accidentally" going backstage or abandoned places...

In the world i cant really say there is any moment where i feel im not in my own little magical world no matter what happens.

although my reality check is always the same time EVERY vacation: Not until i get my luggage at the airport and walk outside to hail a NYC cab do i realize its over. and i feel like i die a little inside lol.

I think that's one of the great things about WDW. Any givaways are few and far between. Unless, of course, one of the projectors needs a new bulb... anyone want to post a picture of what I'm talking about?
The other thing that gets me is when I (foolishly) look UP during rides and all of the ceilings are just ceilings... I don't know what I was expecting, though. Just not... a ceiling.

The reality tends to hit pretty darn quick the minute you're off of Disney property. Gone are the lush greens and nicely landscaped aread.

As someone else said, everytime I leave it feels like a small part of me dies.

You can see BLT from a few locations that it doesn't fit in - Main Street, Liberty Square and Tomorrowland.

You can also see backstage from the Train.

For Me it is the smoking section at the exit to BTMRR.
Seems to me that smokers and non smokers tend to hang out there way to long. You see people laying down, changing diapers and worst of all allowing their children to play all around where People are smoking.:hurl:

Leaving WDW property, looking at the stuff that is not meant to look at during rides that spoils the show for yourself and looking at the abandoned upstairs ImageWorks in JII.

Frankly any time I can smell smoke ruins the magic. I HATE smoking. I'd be happier if they just banned it from the parks altogether.

For me, as I check out of our hotel and walk to the car. You realize that you are now leaving this place and it will be awhile before you return - it really brings you down as you leave.

The Epcot Monorail just before you enter the station between The Seas...and the other one that breaks to the Reality Barrier..Any Tour that's about the parks.

While it's not inside the parks, as in the original question, one of the reasons that I like using Disney transportation to go to the parks is that you can stay inside the Disney magic.

For comparision, driving your own car to EPCOT and finding a place in the parking lot and entering the park from that direction disrupts the fantasy.

I'll never forget the first time I went to MK as an adult. I noticed so many things which I'd never seen as a kid. For example, the ceiling in IASW. As a kid, you are focused on the other "kids" and can barely crane your neck up enough to see the high ceilings, but as an adult looking up and seeing the ceiling tiles brought me back to reality. Since then, however, I've realized it's what you make of it. I choose not to see the bits of reality that creep in to keep the fantasy going as long as possible.

Using my car. The Disney transportation feels so magical, getting in a regular car kind of ruins that.

Btw, nice avatar, DisneyJunkie. :)
