That is kinda funny. My MB fell off on Slinky dog and it happed just before the ride photo and in the ride photo you can see me grabbing it
Paywall. No thanks.According to The Wall Street Journal, “Walt Disney used to call Disneyland his “magic kingdom.” These days, Walt Disney Co. has a new magic trick: wringing every last dollar out of each visitor to its profitable theme parks.” It is a damning assessment.
They are responsible for the design, which can be a responsibility for them if the design fails and is lost on their ride, though.Disney isn’t responsible for items lost.

As for the other person, again... Whether lost or not, the center piece popping out is a design flaw.
There is actually a more solid argument against Disney here, in my opinion.
Actually, they do! I had them slid to the front, so they show but easy enough to slide one to the inside of the wrist to hold MB.Don't they sell MB sliders that will keep the pegs in the holes?

So what you're telling me... Is I need to pay for transportation to and from Disney World, buy my hotel, buy my park tickets, pay parking fees, pay for Genie+, then pay for one ride on Genie+, pay for a magicband, THEN pay for a slider to keep the magicband ON my wrist, then use my magicband to pay for souvenirs and food?Actually, they do! Problem solved.
They need to sell more of them now!!
I hate you.Hate to always be the positive guy but I just got back from 8 days on property.
-we requested a specific room at French Quarter through Touring Plans. Got one nearby. Perfect river view.
- A magic band broke on 1st day, asked at front desk if they had replacement. They had none. Saw I was disappointed as I walked away and five minutes later the cast member sought me out in the food court area to give me a voucher for the shop for a free new Magic band. My son had an old grey freebie and was able to get a new 50th anniversary one.
- no joke - not a single ride broke down on us as we were on them or headed towards them. We did see on Genie that rides were down from time to time but it never seemed to affect us. That’s just luck of the draw I guess.
- I did not see filth everywhere at all.
All four of us had an amazing week.
My experience last week was similar to yoursHate to always be the positive guy but I just got back from 8 days on property.

- Our beds got changed. Only once. I also gave my mouse keeper 5 bucks because he had no towels left on his cart when I asked and he went and found me a stack. I thought he was great.
- We had several awesome bus drivers. Telling jokes. And one at the end of the night that drove us to a stop not on his route.
I felt pretty well taken care of the whole time. I’m not disputing the OP experience just confirming that I had a very different one.
That sounds like all of our visits pretty much up until the last one.Hate to always be the positive guy but I just got back from 8 days on property.

I worked onstage at Epcot, back when it was EPCOT Center, and guests and cast enjoyed magical days. I’m glad you had opportunity to experience those yourself. Things are different now. Dollar driven decisions will not ultimately pay off for them. They’ll have to change back.Disney World. 8 people in my party. Spent $10,000 on 4 rooms at all star music and one-park-per-day tickets**.
Check-In:
°Even tho I requested rooms towards the front, or beside each other... We got 2 rooms in the farthest back of country, and one room on the opposite side in Broadway. An absolutely atrocious distance to have to walk.
Epcot:
°Imagination. Figment AA barely moves. The last panel in the "blast" room had been down at least since my trip in June.
°Ratataouille. Broke down while we were on it. About 20 minutes.
°Mission: Space (Orange) broke down while waiting in line. Waited an additional half hour.
°Pictures didn't work for any of us on Spaceship Earth.
--------
Day off:
Disney Springs:
Nothing bad here. Just too crowded and too expensive to do anything... On a Tuesday afternoon.
--------
Magic Kingdom:
°Little Mermaid kept stopping and going the entire line and the entire ride. Ariel AA in rough shape.
°Buzz Light-year stopped about 12 times. Everyone in our party got to 999,999 before we could even finish the first room. Pointless.
°PeopleMover was down all day and never opened.
°My friend lost her magicband on Space Mountain. Told to go to City Hall. Went there at the end of the night, obviously didn't have it. The best they could do was have it the next day at city Hall or send it to Disney springs. No refund. No replacement. Nada. Zip. And we couldn't go to either two locations during the remainder of the week.
--------
Hollywood Studios
°Rope dropped ROTR and still waited about 2 hours. Went on it at night and it was a walk-on. What a waste of time that morning was.
°Slinky Dog Dash was down in the afternoon when we tried to get on. Then it was down in the evening when we tried again and never reopened.
°Luckily, we went to ToT after slinky and ended with Rockin. Rockin Roller coaster was down for 20 minutes while we waited in line.
--------------
Day off:
Hoop Dee Doo: This and Cirque we're the big highlights of the trip.
-------------
Animal Kingdom:
°Second carnotaurus still stuck in forward motion. Refurbed carno in picture looks great
°They cancelled the last 4 Nemo shows today without notice.
°Finally cracked and bought all 8 people Genie+ so we could ride some damn rides without waiting forever and then expecting them to break down.
------------
°Parks and resorts were in general just dirty. Food all over the floor, hairbands all over rides, water bottles and cups shoved in all sorts of crevices.
°Charging full price and parking fees at resort when you only get housekeeping every other day and all they do is change the towels. They don't even make the beds or sweep the floor.
°The app was very confusing to me for some reason this time. For whatever that input is worth. It's especially hard to find a certain attraction for a DAS pass when all 4 parks are grouped together.
°We had a party of 8. DAS wouldn't allow more than 6 to use. And Genie+ would have cost too much for all 4 park days when I already spent over $14,000 on this trip, much more than I have spent on ANY trip. I've neve been able to not get every attraction in, in a day. Was very upset we couldn't do some attractions because of the ridiculous wait times due to lightning lane. It's a rich person's paradise.
°I am officially priced out. It is neither financially possible or worth it to come back here again.
There was also several other small things that added up to this being a very okay/kinda bad trip. Luckily, I had planned for this to be my last trip for seeeeveral years. Sadly, it was one of my worst trips. If anything, this trip solidified the fact that I need to move on from this expensive dump heap.
So what you're telling me... Is I need to pay for transportation to and from Disney World, buy my hotel, buy my park tickets, pay parking fees, pay for Genie+, then pay for one ride on Genie+, pay for a magicband, THEN pay for a slider to keep the magicband ON my wrist, then use my magicband to pay for souvenirs and food?
Dang. What a bargain.
Our visit from 8/16-8/23 was very much the same. Only “disappointment” was going into The Land in Epcot one day for dinner around 6:00 only to find they were closed. No big deal, back to the hotel for a counter service meal and some swimming to beat the heat.My experience last week was similar to yours
It just occurred to me.... Why would they sell something like this if the design is not flawed?Actually, they do! I had them slid to the front, so they show but easy enough to slide one to the inside of the wrist to hold MB.
Problem solved.

The 2 types of sliders I have seen were the Annual Pass slider and ones that were meant to celebrate WDW's 50th. The 50th Anniversary ones were a specific design where the whole band is a special 50th Anniversary design sold in the 50th Anniversary merchandise shop.It just occurred to me.... Ah. Fair enough. The 2 types of sliders I have seen were the Annual Pass slider and ones that were meant to celebrate WDW's 50th. The 50th Anniversary ones were a specific design where the whole band is a special 50th Anniversary design sold in the 50th Anniversary merchandise shop.
They were on the band purely for decoration.
I was wondering if you were the one who has been on here since you were a teenager. Sometimes I get the regular posters mixed up, especially when they change their pictures. Now that I know it's you, I'll also add you are not one who usually complains either, so I'm sad that you had such a disappointing experience. I hope it was just a fluke, out of all your trips, you're bound to have one that's not so good.Yall... Just read my responses... lol. 10k is how much (actually a little less) was spent on the entire trip.
This is what I hate about the current Disney fan base... They go "AKHTUALLY..." when the only point I was trying to make was that the trip was not worth the amount of money spent on the vacation.
I basically grew up on these forums. I know every inch and detail of WDW history. Watched all of the Martin videos. I have an entire diner-themed room filled to historical Disney collectibles. The point of this post was to go along the train of people who say that a Disney vacation is not worth the price they are charging anymore.
For sake. Even I cannot defend the company anymore. And I had a very unhealthy obsession with vacationing at Disney. Like... Seriously... In the end, between all 8 of us, Disney probably got about 15 to 16k of money out of our pockets. I'm not going to attach receipts for christ sake lol.
This is about all I need to say. And this is why I didn't want to share my report. Adieu.
