Has anyone used this service in July? Ive heard it can be hectic and take up to 3 hours just to get to your resort because they are so busy. Is this true?

No, it isn't. The video says 'Hollywood Studios' so obviously it isn't the original video.

Well that's good. A friend of mine went back in October and said it was still the original video and that it was all blurry and full of static, like a VHS tape thats been played thousands of times. I thought it was on DVD, would make more sense, but thats what he told me.

Glad to hear its been updated! :sohappy:

Are you saying that 3 hours passed between the time you deplaned and the time you were dropped off at your resort? Or are you talking about how long it took for your luggage to arrive? Disney says right in the DME booklet to expect your luggage to arrive about 3 hours after you check-in at your resort.
Getting off the plane & arriving at the resort. :animwink:

ok so i know this was answered above, but i want to be quite sure, im a little crazy about things and although i like the sound of just having my luggage appear, id rather not. so my flight gets in at 10pm, im signed up for the me, but if i dont put the luggage tags on can i get my bags at baggage claim and then drag them over to where the disney bus is and then check in there and take my bags with me on the bus to my resort? if i can that would be great...otherwise i wont be able to relax until they get ther e:(

I did it and it worked out just fine! I had to claim my luggage anyway b/c I was traveling from Canada so as I already had my luggage in my hand I decided to drag the stuff out to the bus myself. I arrived in June and I didn't have to wait long at all. They had lots of staff working the DME counter and the line moved quite quickly. Then they told us which line to get in for our bus. I had only entered the line when we started boarding the bus. I gave my luggage to the bus driver and she loaded it all under the bus including strollers and everything. We sat on the bus for a while but it wasn't that long of a wait and before I knew it the bus started to back out. I don't know if I got lucky that day but I thought the service was excellent!!! (And I liked having my luggage underneath me on the bus!)

*One other little note - I think you're supposed to tip the bus driver if they handle your luggage. We didn't b/c we didn't know any better but since our last trip I've heard people say you should tip the bus driver if they handle baggage!

Yes, I agree. We've always tipped the bus driver, and it's always been greatly appreciated. ;)
