Another AK EMH?

I want your opinion here...

I'm still tweaking with the itenerary for Sept. and I wanted your opinion on evening AK EMH specifically for our group. The group will include myself, hubby, and two kids (2 & 4), and my parents, and my brother. My brother and I will probably be the only ones interested in any "thrill" rides. So, I guess my question would be is there much else for the rest of group to do? And is it worth it for a couple of hours? We usually go to a park in the morning, head back to the resort around lunch time, and then we head out again in the late afternoon/early evening (usually to a different park). We probably won't get back to AK until dinner time and then it will only be for a couple of hours b/c the park would close at 8pm for EMH, right!?!

What could I send my parents to do with the kids if my brother and I wanted to ride EE or Dinosaur?

So, should I bother with evening AK EMH or just leave it and head to another park?

Thanks for your imput!

IMO, While AK has a great feel at night. I would take the kids over to the MK or something else on you list. Here is a list of what is typically open:

Dinosaur
Expedition Everest
Festival of the Lion King
It's Tough to be a Bug
Kali River Rapids
Kilimanjaro Safaris -May close early
[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Primeval Whirl
TriceraTop Spin
The Boneyard

Not to much going on for the little ones...Have a reat trip!!

Thanks!

I didn't even think that much was open!?! I was under the impression that there was no animal exhibits (including the Safaris) open. And I thought the kiddie stuff was closed as well. At least if the Boneyard is open my kids can play there!

The atmosphere and beauty of DAK is reason enough for EMH at AK!! :D

We selected that as our night out while the kids were with the Kids Night Out sitters. Great evening and the kids loved the sitter.

Maybe you could have your hubby and parents take the kids to MK while you and your brother pop into AK EMH. Then you could just meet them at MK after you hav ridden EE and Dino a couple of times.

You and your brother will be able to move much faster if you go alone.

Just an idea. We usually travel with both DSs (1 & 5) and my hubby sometimes goes over alone just to hit those rides if we dont want to go.

DAK is very different at night and is worth experiencing just for the lighting and effects. I prefer riding EE at night - it's much better (IMHO). Dinoland is open for the kids, so I say go and have a new experience.

Thanks for your imput! I think I may try it out... I really want to see AK in the evening! We might just go for a couple of hours and then head over to the MK to catch Wishes. If the boneyard is open, my parents can entertain the kids while my brother and I hit a couple rides we really want to do together. And FOTLK is open too, right!?! So, that's something our whole group can enjoy together!

Again, thanks everybody!
