This poll is only based on 77 people at the moment, and given the pool we have on this site it could've gone either way. The loud bunch (me) aren't afraid to voice off against MB while I imagine a bunch of people who love it didn't bother to voice off.

That being said, the gap between those who love it or hate it isn't big.. that's NOT how an "upgrade" works.

For 99% of park visitors it is just another ride to do to check off the list for the day. It doesn't matter if one version is better than the other. The regular park visitor doesn't even know it's changed. Disney didn't change the ride to increase park attendance or make money. It's just a big advertisement for a movie series that won't be going away any time soon.

Exactly. And this a problematic strategy.

I was reminded of this again:
7386c68l.jpg

A satellite literally ripped off from the observatron plucked on top of mission breakout.
It makes me think a lot. Is this a sign of how long mission breakout was planned for? A sign of things to come for tomorrowland? A sign of disney's laziness?
This vote reminds me of all of these questions and more. Mission breakout is truly the current most philosophical ride disney has ever created.
Otherwise it would be journey into your imagination.

This is a huge problem for the parks, and will bring it down to Universal's level.

Trying to figure out my thoughts on Infinity War. I don't hate it, but the more I think about it the less sense it makes and the less I enjoy it.

Also spoiler but
Mission Breakout is outdated now

Well I'd like to hear your thoughts, and if you are confused or things don't make sense I'll be happy to help you understand.

Thanos's motivations make no sense. If he wants to kill half the population of every world because he wants to protect them from running out of resources, but he has the Infinity Stones giving him infinite powers, why doesn't he just create infinite resources?

There is a reason why he is called the Mad Titan. If you listened to his speech in the film you could see he is a tortured soul and explains his thought process. He has seen his world destroyed by overpopulation. He even says something to the effect, left unchecked the universe will destroy itself. He feels he is the only one to understand that in order to bring balance to the universe sacrifices must be made.

He has the Infinity Stones. All six. He can create infinite resources so overpopulation isn't an issue. Also, when he gets the Infinity Stones, why didn't he completely resurrect Titan?

Again, he is the Mad Titan as in crazy. His thought process is not logical. He has a singular mission, to balance the universe in the way he knows how by destroying half of it. His thoughts are not on how it could be accomplished a different way. Also the movie ends just after he gets the 6th stone and is hurt by Vision. So we don't know what will happen in the next movie. Maybe he does try to rebuild Titan.

Now they don't go into the comics reason for Thanos doing this, which was to impress the Mistress of Death. So who knows that maybe part of the next movie as well.

Sorry, bud, but I'm not convinced. This still makes no sense to me.

You are trying to ask why a crazy person doesn't do what you think they should. Again go back to his history. He’s from a planet called Titan. Many years prior to the film his planet was experiencing a cataclysmic shift. They were running out of resources, and they were overpopulated. Thanos made a recommendation that they exterminate half the population randomly in order to save the rest of the population. To save many you have to sacrifice a few, is his thought process. Of course, the Titans rejected his notion, branded him a mad man, exiled him, and the planet ended up dying. That left this Mad Titan to experiment with his plan on a much larger scale. So he has taken it upon himself to go planet-by-planet throughout the universe and wipe out half of the population of each planet as a way to correct the universe and bring it back into balance.

So when are we getting a infinity war ride? Hopefully it'll take over splash mountain or Haunted Mansion or something.

Wait, the movie already came out. Nevermind

It never should've changed and totally wrecks any semblance of theming that the land it's in has. I agree that on the surface it's a better thrill ride than ToT ever was, but for the thematic cost? No way.

An additional reason it's viewed so negatively is because it's going to keep people in constant suspense for the future of Florida's ToT for the rest of time probably.

That ship sailed. I think you can breath easily. Not to say it’ll never change... but it’ll never change to Guardians.

I know people on these forums have promised over and over it's not changing but unfortunately I can't really allow myself to put much stock in that. As The Twilight Zone becomes an IP that is pushed more and more to the back of people's minds over the years while Hollywood action blockbuster profits continue to rise, I can't really say that I feel that confident about its future given the current state of Disney.
