The 30% early/late dinner discount was great. 20% wasn't bad. 10% is meh.

At the end of the day, there are plenty of other restaurants in the area where I don't have to overpay for mediocre food.

Well...it's Orlando so you're overpaying everywhere...but I agree it's not nearly as much.

I'm good with dennys at 1/6th the price :)

Be greatful it's not the "Six Flags Method" Where they have the Season Dining pass..Can you imagine those thousands of guests coming to get a Lunch, Snack & Dinner all for one price and good for the year?!?!? My park alone is a nightmare when trying to get a meal there now and it's even blander than Disney's..

Meanwhile as a SeaWorld passholder I get discounts on everything from food, alcohol, merchandise, special pricing for reserved show seating, even actual passholder previews for their holiday shows. We used to have a private lounge with free soda (since closed during new ride construction). I believe I was even able to attend Christmastowne at Busch Gardens Tampa for free one day last week. On top of that we get monthly 'gifts', their pretty low key but still nice nonetheless, no block out dates etc....all while paying the same monthly price I paid when I initially bought the pass.

But, aren't they still struggling from that...."Film Fiasco"...I went there and It was rather empty but, I had an Awesome time and did the All-day-dining which was great...But, I think somwhere down the road I think the Fishy's will become a thing of the past and make the parks more ride-based from what I've seen...

I was always impressed with the discounts and benefits at the SeaWorld Parks (including BGT), and the Universal Studios parks. Lightyears above Disney's benefits.

Yeah, but it's also on 192. The absolute last place I want to see when I'm on vacation is 192. Though admittedly 535 might be worse. Two places qualify as hell on Earth for me... the George Washington Bridge toll plaza and the intersection of 535 and Hotel Plaza Boulevard at rush hour.
I never found 192 to be awful. 535 by HPB, yuck. The GWB toll plaza at rush hour when you're trying to get to Yankee Stadium is an experience I would only reserve for my worst enemies.

Another issue I do not appreciate is how they remove certain room availability depending on how many days you request n the Disney website. A good example is that I just now searched for 7 days in February and it yielded results ranging from All Star to a few mods and several Deluxe ( 11 resorts total). Then I shortened the trip by ONE day (6 days total) which should yield the exact same results, but it does not. It offered me 4 total results. How can LESS resorts be available in the same time frame? That is just plain wrong. You should not play a shell game with customers who are loyal to you each year.

ETA: and the results when I shortened the trip were not even for standard room, it was only for one bedroom villas. When I searched for 7 days, it offered standard rooms and more resorts. And before anybody says " just book the 7 days and remove the extra day"...please save your keystrokes. I already know that. But I should not have to take the time to go through all that. It is ridiculous.
Maybe P&R has instituted "minimum guest money extraction" goals...?

We used to go to church at Mary, Queen of the Universe on our WDW trips but gave up after sitting in two hours of traffic a couple of years ago. That's how hellish that intersection is. It literally made me not go to church.

The intersection is the same size with 25% more visitors and way more tourist business concentration than 15 years ago...of course it's gonna suck.

You know Florida...don't invest in infrastructure and act like you're saving people money somehow...

As high as that sounds, I don't think it's even that difficult to achieve. Add in a few table service meals with the family and you're well on your way. But that's also what has made me think it over so many times, still not 100% convinced.

We will typically do that within the first two months of the year - two lunches a weekend, eight weekends, $50/meal gets you past $750 easily. (FL resident cost) And as was pointed out, adding in adult beverages (even just a glass of wine per meal) helps a lot, and that was not available with the AP discount.

And that's ridiculous...I'm glad they have finally added some different options after 20 years of menu streamlining...but $20+ a person is ridiculous...

I'm sorry sir, but where in the world are you eating at table service restaurants for less than $20/person, once you factor in taxes and tips? (If my math is correct, that makes the food costs about $16/person)

But disney has to charge more because they have to pay for that extra $3 bil in capital investment in Epcot that has been "confirmed", don't they?

Just wait -- they'll make 535 a toll road and then all the traffic will shift back to 192.

Does anyone know if the new feature that automatically applies AP discounts when you pay with your Magic band is working? I love that idea

I'd be interested to know this too?

...in the past all discounts required manager override. Way too much theft/shenanigans in the past with discounts.
