Oh yeah forgot to mention something. There is something cool about the idea of an amusement park inside a theme park. Especially if the theme park is very different from a classic amusement park. Plus Walt was inspired by a visit to an uninspiring amusement park. And Epcot is seen as his most visionary park. It just works. With proper theming, placesetting and backstory of course.

You mean like Dino-Land?

Pretty sure mentioning Haunted Mansion and Dinorama in the same context is a bannable offense.

I will check with the mom.
LOL! Now excuse me but I have a fastpass for the Spooky House at 11:50...Afterwards I am going to head over to The Animal Kingdom to ride the Dinosaur Ride and play games at the Clown Show...
See it works beautifully...lol

i should choose to be always serious or always joking.

I personally don't think Tron belongs in Future World. In fact, I think Guardians could be more appropriate - depending on the story treatment. Future World is about possibilities, whether Science fiction or Science fact. Tron is science fantasy. Aesthetically it would work but thematically it wouldn't. Whereas I see Tomorrowland as more Science Fiction/Science Fantasy, so Tron fits there IMO.

Guardians is completely science fiction/fantasy. TRON and Guardians work in both for me. I can see why they'd rather have TRON next to Space. I know so many complained "it was similar" but Guardians would be even more compared and similar and probably be seen as better. TRON's a better compliment to Space Mountain. I think because it's already in a Tomorrowland it's hard to picture it elsewhere.

TRON's always had a Future World vibe to me, personally. But again, it also works very well in Tomorrowland.

Yes, both are Sci Fi. But Guardians is a new build so it's conceivable that the storyline of the attraction will fit into Future World (for example, let's say the Guardians are taking you on a tour of different types of astronomical bodies). With Tron, we already know what it is because it's a clone - you're on a light cycle from the movies. Something that is pure science fiction. So that to me doesn't fit in Future World at all. A Tron-based attraction that was more grounded in Science Fact, however, could easily fit.

All this is assuming that the Guardians coaster has a storyline that fits, which may not be the case. But with the Tron coaster, it's definitely not the case.

Guardians is pure fantasy.

There is no science in it

That's true about knowing what to expect with TRON. But I don't think they care as much about it being science fact or fiction. They don't give it the thought we do, IMHO. They're interchangable it seems to them. But yes, Guardians is 'new' and could be tailored to fit better, but it could also be tailored to fit Tomorrowland. I still stand that both can work in either, it's just preference for me.

I think they might actually. Kevin Feige is a big old school EPCOT fan - and he's involved in the story treatment. Also, yhe head imagineer on this project is Joe Rhode, who cares very much about placesetting and thematic integrity. They may make this work.
