The Great TOON Movie Ride
From popular demand a more in depth explanation of the Great TOON Movie Ride
Entrance
You enter the ride in a re make of the birthplace of animated features, The Carthay Circle Theater (snow white). Here you in front you'll find the marquee for the the ride and out front hand prints from famous toons. Like Mickey, Roger Rabbit, Simba, and other.
Queue
The queue will wind you pass original animation art works and pieces from disney aninmated classics. You then enter (like in GMR) a big movie theater room. Here you'll see films playing of the classics your about to journey into.
Boarding
Takes place in the backstage, behind the screen to really get the effects of jumping into your toon movies. Here your guide wears a animators smock with their favorite disney character on the back and welcomes you here.
Ride
You then move on. The first scene is from Winnie the Pooh. You'll pass by a blustery day with Pooh and friends (much like the scene from the ride at MK). Next is Mr. Toad as he rides a road rage through the city as you can see from the damages and him spinning out of control and laughing in a corner. The tram slows down as you enter a gigantic ballroom and then to the right you can (live actors) Beauty and the Beast dancing the most famous scene. You then go to the next when Belle tells the Beast she loves him and he turns human.
Now the next scenes are like GMR when a bad guy takes over. You can get either Snow White's Wicked Queen or Jafar from Aladdin. The Snow White scene first goes through the dwarf cottage to see the celebration that is taking place. Next you see a live Snow White take a apple from a live queen. Snow White is going to bite the apple but the tour guide says no. She hesitates and jumps out the car but it's to late Snow White falls as the guide trys to revive her. While that happens the wicked queen jumps in and hijacks while the guide can't stop it. You then go to Agrabah as you can see the Palace in the background. You slow down and make a right to see Jasmine and Aladdin flying on the magic carpet through the clouds. You then make a right to see Jafar and Aladdin battle and then the next scene shows Aladdin and Jasmine flying over the palace as everypne waves.
Now if you pass by that scene all that happens is Snow White bites the apple and falls as the queen runs away. But a prince comes and kisses her and they fall in love. Then in Aladdin all si the same except the battle is live action and the snake is still animatronic. Suddenly the tram guide jumps in. Then Jafar (snake) forces genie to trap them. Genie follows and they plunge through a trap door. Jafar (live) comes to life and hijacks the tram. You then skip over the finale scene of Aladdin and Jasmine flying off.
Next is the Little Mermaid as you see Ariel (animatronic) telling sebastian about land. Then Sebastain busts out into Under the Sea and other creatures join in. Next you go through a dark tunnel to see a rock in the middle as you round it to see it's sorcerer (spelling) mickey atop a rock making water as he splashes you. You make a right to see Pride Rock up ahead and animals surrond the car and Rafaki raises Simba. You go under the rock to see to the right Scar's marching army as he sings be prepared. Then you come see the wildebeast chase as you see the action unfold around you and suddenly up ahead Mufasa falls. You make a left and see Simba and Scar have a final confrontation on pride rock. The villian (jafar or evil queen) then tries to make the villian win by doing a spell howver Rafaki (the tour guide) comes behind and destroyes their magic stiick (i no wicked queen doesn't have one but this sake she does) and the villian surrenders. The tour guide takes off the mask revealing to us it's only him/her as we watch as Simba defeats Scar and makes his final roar.
We then come to a dark area where we see a pumpkin coach to our side racing. We make a left to see Cinderella and Prince Charming dancing (live) and how he promises to find the one the wears this slipper. We slow down and hear a bell. We make a right to see Notre Dame dead ahead and Quasimodo on top singing (live) how he wants to be out there. Then all of a sudden a burst of the festival of fools explodes around us as we all sing and clap along. Finally we make a right to see Pinochio in Gepetto's shop. And how he cares for him we make a right to see Pinnochio being persuaded to go to Pleasure Island. We arrive and see Pinnochio turned into a Donkey. Jimmney gets Pinnochio home and there in the next scene we see the blue fairy (live) make him into a real boy and she says one final time when you wish upon a star your dreams come true. As we head into a theater room as the guide tells us we have only seen Disney side of animation. Then on a big screen a mixture of Disney, WB, Dreamworks, and other films play. Aftyer the film is done animatronic forms of Belle, Beast, Cinderella, Prince Charming, Pinnochio, Mickey, Jafar, Wicked Queen, Snow White, Mr. Toad, Winnie the Pooh, Simba, and Ariel take a bow as the light shines on them. Then finally you unload where you loaded as the guide wishes you a great day.
