So the New Animators palette or the old which do you like more, the original animators palette was a big deal at the time it launched. How does the new dreamy version compare to the old one?
Looking at the pictures i am happy to see a little more color and i like the mickey chairs. I think the silverware looks neat although those salt and pepper shakers look strait out of mouse gears.
I would like to take my kids to the Animators palette, I was wondering if there is a kids menu. After looking at the menu there wouldn't be much they would eat. Also one other question is any dress requirement to have dinner there. Thanks.
Do they send you the info before your cruise about formal nights/how many their are, etc?
Do you also find out what your specific dinner rotation is pre-cruise or do you not know what restaurant you start in until you arrive that day?
You receive your dinner rotation when you check in for the cruise; it was on my cruise ID and also on a note in the stateroom.
I believe there is only 1 formal night on cruises 4 nights and longer.
On 3-night cruises:
- One cruise casual night—no shorts, swimwear or tank tops
- One pirate or tropical night (deck party)
- One "dress-up night"—jacket for men, dress or pantsuit for women
Interesting - I've been on 2 3-night cruises and this is the first that I have heard of this, especially the dress up night - and I have seen plenty of tank tops at dinner, unfortunately.

I always have my tux for 7+ night cruises. Not sure if I'll bring it for a 3-night in April. . .nobody dresses up anymore. :brick:
