Is Rivers of Light really going to be ready to open in a years time? I assume they aren't going to install anything permanent in the lake for the show (like World of Colour) and instead it will all be on barges then.

It's supposed to be open in less than a year's time if the March 2016 time @wdwmagic has mentioned comes to be true.

Is there a reason other than spreading the $$$ over a couple of years that Rivers of Light couldn't have been ready by this year? I'm tired of everything being dragged out for years on end.

I'll never get over the ONE podcast I happened to listen to in which Jim Hill said that Disney builds things every 3.5 years because that's how often a family returns to visit. I mean ... SERIOUSLY? We all know it's to spread out the cost. They could have probably had Rivers of Light ready to go LAST year if they truly wanted it done.

Are they really going to replace all the leaves on the Tree of Life this summer? That's sure to look hideous whilst in progress.

If the end product is going to generate documentable revenue, they'll fast-track it. Like a restaurant or shop. Otherwise, they spread the expense over multiple calendar years.

Thanks for the update. I love construction! I mean I love what construction is a precursor to. :)

I just love construction.
