OMG!

People are having an arguement about signature lengths.

Either some people have too much time on their hand and just love complaining.

or I really should start to care a whole lot more.

um - no - thought about it a bit and dont really care less to be honest if someone wants a signature 5 10 or 15 lines - i scroll past it.

and Im glad someone showed us what Lucky looked like - coz I aint heard of him - guess he'll be wheeled all over the place to make "special appearances".

yea.... give it a a couple of months and they'll put pins around his neck and have special "pin trading lucky" appearances. Then we'll have a yearly lucky merchandise event. They could even replace the flowers in the cart with lucky merchandise!!

I think that Lucky is just more of a test subject to see how crowds react. Wasn't he built in California? If so it makes sense to have him in DCA rather than take him all the way to AK.

I'm just wondering about the dino that appeared in the Travel Channel special. I think that it might appear in AK now that it seems Lucky is being received warmly.

I'm pretty sure Lucky is the dino from the Travel Channel special- but I could be wrong.

Hi Guys.
The 5 line rule was put into effect to try and make the forums a better place for everyone. I outlined the reasons why here..

I am not going to go around finding every member who has huge signatures, but it would be much appreciated if you could follow the guidelines set out. The next upgrade to the forum will have a character limit, so you'll have no choice then ;)

Back to Lucky! :)

... or Paris??

Hey there, Hi there, Ho there,

while I don't believe this is going to happen anytime soon ... why not bring Lucky (or a clone) to the Walt Disney Studios Park in the Disneyland Resort Paris?

The WDS are in DIRE need of anything that could help attract guests to this park, which even APs only rush through for a short ride on RnRc, as the car stunt show has turned out to be not that interesting after you've seen it more than two or three times.

In the WDS they could use the same excuse as in the Hollywood Backlot area for why a dinosaur is walking around: they are making a movie - which if we are hones is a rather weak excuse as it would translate as: this is not a real dinosaur but only some technical gadget created for the movie ... which brings us back to what was said originally: they should find a place where having a live dinosaur would make real sense.

Right now I can see several solutions (I'm going to include some ideas from other posts in this thread):

1. create an outdoor section next to Dinosaur the Ride supposed to be the "zoo" of the institute where they "experiment" with dinosaurs they brought through time. You could do this really neat, having a waiting line area past some displays (windows through which you look into the laboratories), some even including some basic AAs of dinosaurs more in the background before you reach the large outdoor area in a lush landscaping where you meet a researcher who has trained the first dinosaur bred in the facilities to do some tricks like pulling a cart and interacting with guests. Maybe you could even include a little restaurant overlooking this area.
Downside of this idea: it pretty much sounds like an improved copy of the Jurassic Park Institute at IOA, doesn't it??

2. finally open Beastly Kingdom and have Lucky around there - it would be just another fantasy creature then but it could make sense ot have it work together with a human handler.

3. move it to the WDS Park at DLRP or Disney Studios at WDW and create a small Dinotopia section for it - shop, restaurant and meeting Lucky area, the waiting area could be created as a walk through a dinotopia city with the possibility to look through windows into shops / living rooms where some basic AAs would set the scene similiar to the waiting area in 1. Even so the series bombed Dinotopia has a huge following and lives on as a book so this could be possible, if a deal with Hallmark Entertainment is made. If successful the area could developed further maybe with a flying coaster, some flatt rides e.g. in the future.
Problem at WDS: the concept of this park is not like at WDW's studio park that guests actually step into the world of a movie and everything is supposed to be real, but that guests are in a working studio and are supposed to see that everything is fake. So here Lucky would have to be revealed as being a technical gadget, something that should not be done. But hopefully this concept will be widened in the WDS soon and there will be some imersive areas where guests are supposed to believe things are real.

4. Move it to the WDS and add it to the Backlot Tram Tour. The tram goes past a set from Dinotopia, so you could have the tram stop and Lucky approach the tram and interact with some of the guests on the tram. But then this would be a waste of its ability even so it could save the not sooo exiting tram tour. But again the problem comes up of how to deal with the "is he real question" in the setting of a film studio.

...

or totally different: see Lucky only as a first step and create some different character from a Disney classic movie as next step which you could use in the MK - but then none of the MKs in the resorts worldwide really needs such a character to attract guests, which would mean: we need to use it at AK, DCA or WDS, the three ailing parks right now.
