That's actually incorrect.

As you can see, there is no mention of signature length. It has, however, been requested by the Administrator that signatures be kept to a maximum length of five lines and I think that everyone should respect that.

However, it works out much better to simply point this out to people in a polite way, rather than trying to sound like an authority by citing rules and regulations that don't formally exist.

You catch more flies with honey, sort of thing. Have a nice day....

Right, which is why I said "It has, however, been requested by the Administrator that signatures be kept to a maximum length of five lines and I think that everyone should respect that."

This is a matter of semantics really, but I don't think there's any need for nastiness of "signature nazis" to take up arms against people that are not aware of a forum thread that they have most likely never seen. If it's not in the rules, it's not a rule - therefore, when people feel the need to inform people of the request, they should do so in a polite way. Leave the administering to the Administrator, so to speak. Just my take on it anyway, now back to WDW discussions.

I didn't really see any nazi-ism behind CEO's original "Your signature is over the limit" ... and TLB stated the same with a link included. As AriBelle declared that she had "been waiting for that" I suspect that she was aware of the rule ;) but I'm probably wrong, as usual. Steve's a pretty busy guy so a lot of people try to help him out here and there. My apologies if I ever come off sounding rude. It's not my intention.

Lucky sounds like an interesting fella. Can't wait to meet him.

BACK TO THE TOPIC.........................
I think Lucky should stay at DCA for now, since he really doesn't fit with the theme of Dinoland. (he looks like something out of dinotopia.) At DCA, they can use the excuse that he's from a movie, but what would a dinosaur pulling a cart of flowers with a guy who looks like a wizard be doing in Dinoland??
That's one thing that makes Dinoland hard to expand, because they don't have "live" dinosaurs in Dinoland, technically you have to go back in time to see them, so your limited to "real" dinosaurs only in CTX/DINOSAUR, unless you build another ride where you "go back in time," which wouldn't really make sense. The only way I see a walking dino in Dinoland is if it is of Aladar (the iguanadon you bring back while on CTX) is walking around at the exit area after you brought him back, which would be pretty cool. I would rather wait for another, different, dino to be built for WDW instead of Lucky coming to Dinoland.
What would be really cool is to have a daily parade with dinosaurs (or add some into the existing parade) go either around discovery island, or around dinoland. This would also be awesome for Beastly Kingdom, to have dragons, unicorns, pegasus, and other mythical creatures mingling with the people.

Can I be the role of mkt now? (ref his post above)
Not fit into the theme of Dinoland? It would seem to fit in a bit more than the carnival they have going back there... and as for no "live" dinos running around, I could swear there are two fuzzies (in this case, scalies) running around there too. At least they used to run around that area.

But I'll gladly keep Lucky out here... it's a beautiful piece of work... just watching the thing moving around had me in awe. And apparently it's done something for the rest of those visiting DCA... I've seen crowds dumping out of "Millionaire" and "Muppets" stop in both shock and awe (damn... I think I owe Bush 2.0 royalty fees for using that one)... and I don't blame them one bit. I was very happy to see Lucky the one time I did otherwise I'd have only seen photos and videoclips like many folks are right now.
It's a rather pricey gadget to put on display... but it sure is an impressive gadget. I just hope that Burbank doesn't take it back and place it on a warehouse shelf to collect dust after this week... :(

Makes me wonder which was more fun to watch- Lucky himself or the faces in the crowd!

IF YOU ARE DISNEY MANAGEMENT, SEE A.

IF YOU ARE A REGULAR MEMBER, SEE B.

A

I would walk into Dino-Rama and pay 40,000 dollars in games to see Lucky...

I would also spend 80,000 additional dollars if you reopened all of your Tomorrowland seasonal attractions!

And, to seal the deal, I'll throw in a couple million to keep them classics... and release those extinct ones on DVD... ;)

(IF YOU ARE NOT DISNEY MANAGEMENT THEN THE FOLLOWING DOES NOT APPLY TO YOU...DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME!)

B

Of COURSE I wouldn't pay ANYTHING in that place called Dino-Rama! But I would step in to see Lucky...argh...I HATE spending money on stupid carnival games that give cheap, regular prizes...

Oh wait..this was about Lucky...LOL - yes, put him in AK!

I would suggest double checking all threads. Those rules have been modifed by Steve to suit current needs.

And why continue this argument? Some of us are trying to discuss a dinosaur... if you want to point out things within posts or signatures, take it private... or mention it to a moderator/admin... there is absolutely no point in cluttering up rather decent threads with this constant bickering.
And it is because of things like ths that keeps me away from these boards for such long periods of time. I'm sorry, but unless you are admin or moderator... and you have nothing more to add to a decent conversation then you are just an instigator.

Want to report me because I voiced an opinion? Go ahead... apparently it's what everyone wnats to do to each other anyway.

Now... can we please move on and discuss this dinosaur?

I don't read every post before making an immediate post. I didn't even see this page. Put me on block if you don't like me finishing up my half.
Report your post? I wouldn't do such. You didn't flame me. If that person flamed you. You would do the same thing. ;)

Isn't like I continued to post about that person. I needed to clear up some issues that were still alive.

DAK will get a Lucky. Nothing to it.

Do not be absurd Toon Finder. Steve neither has the time nor the patience to tell every member of our 8000+ guest community with a lengthy signature to shorten it. Those of us who have been on this site for months or years try to help out Steve by kindly telling other users when their actions require modification. In a community as large as this, semi-frequent reminders like Justin's are not uncalled for. No one makes you read these threads, so don't pretend like one thread ruins your day...take these forums a bit less seriously if that is the case. If you feel Justin has no right to remind a fellow user that his/her signature is too long, then you certainly don't have the right to chastise Justin. Chill.

Hrmmm, no. The rules are quite clear. If they have been modified to, say, reflect a 5 line signature limit, then one would think that they would have been....well, modified. As it is, the rules are all there, and within them there is not one mention of this 5 line limit.

Are you honestly suggesting that every user first read every message of every thread before posting so that he or she may be clear as to all of the suggestions and requests not formally spelled out in the forum rules?

Anyway, there's always the type of folks that get on message boards with the intention of trying to put on airs of superiority over others. Talking with them just feeds their hunger, and as luck would have it I just ran out of Troll Food (tm).

So, back to Disney....

REMEMBER? We're having a very important conversation about a dinosaur named Lucky.

What I meant was that although lucky isn't a perfect fit in DCA, he wouldn't be much better off in Dinoland. I'm sure the person accompanying him would have a more fitting costume, but still.... why would he be pulling a flower cart??
Also, what I meant by "live" dinosaurs is ones that they intend for you to think are real. Obviously the "fuzzies" in Dinorama are not supposed to be realistic. I guess it just doesn't make sense to me to have the Dino Institute talking about how you can go back in time to see dinosaurs, which you do, when you have one walking around out in front. Why would we need to go back in time then??
I don't think Animal Kingdom shouldn't get a dinosaur. What I meant was why does it have to be lucky? Why does he have to be the only one ever created? I mean, they could easily theme a new section of Dinoland to the Dino Institute research center, where they have brought back dinosaurs for you to see, and have them walking around. In my opinion, something like that would seem just a little more fitting than a dinosaur pulling an old-fashioned flower cart with a wizard looking guy.

I have 4,055 under my belt, do you really think I would spend that much time hiding and THEN become a troll? Just because I state a correction on the forums doesn't mean I'm wrong. You don't need to read all the rules. But the people who haven't, stick out. Hence I corrected that person.
This is going around in circles.
