My wife and I find it very easy to spend a whole day at DAK. You just have to take your time and enjoy everything that the park has to offer.
It shouldn't have to cost $28000 to have an adventurous time seeing animals. If you have the extra dollars in your budget, I highly recommend taking the "Backstage Safari" tour. Very neat experience and it will help to fill up your day @ DAK.
You've missed one of the best parts. Make sure and go see the bats. All the times I've been in the room to look at the bats, I didn't realize there is no glass in the windows. The cm said that the bats are too big to get through the opening, so they left those areas open. These are the biggest bats you'll every see, and they are not nocturnal.I remember the "controversy" of real animals @ DAK vs. the animatronics at MK. I have yet to "explore " the Jungle Trek and such, so this year, we will be doing that!
Ive been several times and its always a full day. Festival of the Lion King and Finding Nemo are as good as any broadway play. I love all the rides and attractions, walking the grounds and meeting the characters at Camp Mickey?? Also watching the parade. We're always pushing for time to get to Rainforest Cafe for dinner at the park when it closes.I keep reading everywhere that Animal Kingdom is a park where you get through it in less than one day. The Unofficial Guide even stated that you can get through the park by 2pm.
In people's experiences on here is this true?
Definitely agree. There's plenty to do at DAK if you take the time to appreciate it.This park is only a half day if all you want to do is ride rides. If you enjoy nature, it's at minimum one day.
