Animal Kingdom In Less Than One Day?

For us its always a full day event no matter what. Granted its one and done on a seven day trip. Can you blow through it in record time ? Don't know, it never crossed my mind. Its a beautiful park with plenty of sites to see.

We typically schedule it smack dab in the middle of the trip. Its a nice break from the hectic pace at the begining of the trip. Get there at opening, take your time, soak in everything and end the day at six with dinner at Sanna or Boma. Get back to the hotel at a decent hour and head to the pool to relax.

I keep reading everywhere that Animal Kingdom is a park where you get through it in less than one day. The Unofficial Guide even stated that you can get through the park by 2pm.

In people's experiences on here is this true?

Oh HECK yeah. I could get through all of the "good parts" in less than two hours. As for the parts that are, at best, a glorified zoo...hello, I've been to the St Lous Zoo, one of the best zoos in the world...and Animal Kingdom can't hold a candle to it. As a zoo, AK is a washout. Unfortunately, as a Disney park, it's pretty much a washout too.

For us, yes. We don't do everything in ak because a lot of the things don't appeal to us.
