Trip Report And When it's Time to Find Home. We know the Way!! Aue Aue

Good Morning all my Disney loving friends! We just hit the road and our first destination is Charlotte, NC. However, before I get ahead of myself, it is our normal crew, myself, Deighton (I turn the big 5 0 this year), Den my husband and our 3 kids. Hunter who is 20 and is now bartending... Camden 13 still an avid lacrosse player and fisherman and the youngest Brinley, 9 for now but on August 10 she will turn 10 in Disney World.

Here is a brief schedule of the next 2 weeks. As I stated earlier we will arriving in Charlotte, NC around 4 pm today. We have reservations at a southern BBQ restaurant (let the feeding frenzy begin). Tomorrow, we leave early to get to Savannah Georgia as soon as possible. We have a lot that we want to do here but the weather is not showing that it is going to cooperate. Hopefully the weather man is as wrong in Savannah as they are in
Pittsburgh!

After a night in Savannah, we are headed to Disney Springs for 2 days. We have reservations in Disney Springs and this is when we will do some resort hopping. Then it is home to The Boardwalk for 9 nights with a seven day hopper. Then back to Charlotte to meet up with my brother and his family. Then sadly home and back to the grind! I will post more details shortly!

Star tours is not usually one of my favorite rides but I really liked the changes here!

Den was scared to ride. Lol!

Now Den, Brin and I are going to meet my dynamic duo! The boys are miserable with their sun burns!!

I do feel bad for them, being in Florida with a sunburn is horrible. They should've listened to Momma!

Next up lunch!! Sadly, it was a very poor meal and it breaks my heart as I type this. Every trip I have ever taken to Disney has included the Brown Derby and it has always been exceptional!

Today, fell way short of exceptional or even good. My soup, cream of corn, was very good but not great and the highlight of my meal... Hunter and I both had the organic chicken mole with squash and peppers on a chorizo, scallion cake. The squash was hard and inedible. The "cake" was tasteless. The chicken was cooked well and the mole was ok.

Den had the Cobb salad with shrimp. The shrimp were the tiniest shrimp I have ever seen. In years past, I have had this and the shrimp were huge!

Cam and Brin ordered off the kids menu and it seems the rest of us should have, too. Brin's steak was great and Cam loved his generous portion of mac n cheese and fries.

It very well may fall off of our list on the next trip. Prices are outrageous and the food is not fine dining anymore in my opinion. It truly makes me sad.

We took a nap. Brin needed sleep bad. We got up and headed out!

We timed the safari perfectly. Feeding time!!
It also started to thunder and lightning a lot so everything else in Africa is closed.

We are in line now for most likely our last ride on dinosaur. Having a blast though and hope to enjoy extended hours here tonight.

Next up...Pandora. In line for Navi River Journey now. Cam got a popcorn bucket on the way over.

60 minute wait for Flights of Passage! Heck yeah!

We ended our night getting pizza for the kids from the pizza Togo place on the boardwalk.

Then Den and I went to the Flying Fish bar for what was supposed to be quick drinks and food...the story continues at some point when I have time. For now it is time to get some shut eye for rope drop at MK tomorrow!! See yah real soon!

Good Morning and Happy Thursday! (How is it Thursday already)? Let's fill in the holes but not fully because I don't have enough time.

As I said, previously, the safari ended up being great because it was feeding time and there was also storms brewing so there was a cool breeze. The painted dogs were even excited. They were wrestling and playing. One even rolled down the hill in excitement. The whole truck was laughing. I apologize for the lack of pictures of this but I was living in the moment. Here are some pictures on the way to the safari and of the safari itself. Picture heavy coming your way!

Next up Dinosaur and probably our last ride. It is a great ride and I will miss it but it definitely jerks you around. Good bye dear Dinosaur ride. Hopefully your replacement lives up to you!

Popcorn bucket time on our way to Pandora to accomplish both Na'vi River Journey and Flights of Passage. For the first time today the wait was less than what was posted for both rides and during extended hours.

Sadly not any of my River Journey pictures came out and know many of you are heart broken and I apologize.

On to FOP

Time to get back. We left FOP at exactly 8pm.

We walked to the bus line after only to see the line for The Boardwalk extend down the middle of the bus stop. Yeah no way!! Off to Uber we went!
We made it back fast! Worth every penny note to self.
By the way, the buses suck here and the parks are busy! Did you also know it is bloody, hot here? Huh? Who knew? I am nervous about getting on the bus this morning for MK.
We got back and the kids had pizza...blah, blah, blah... then we went to Flying Fish for dinner and didn't leave until 11! We both had phenomenal steak which definitely made up for The Bad Derby this morning

This yummy gem I dream of regularly!

We met people from the Netherlands who are also DVC. We had a lot in common and enjoyed our conversation.

Shower time, coffee time and off to Magic Kingdom time!
