Trip Report And When it's Time to Find Home. We know the Way!! Aue Aue

Good Morning all my Disney loving friends! We just hit the road and our first destination is Charlotte, NC. However, before I get ahead of myself, it is our normal crew, myself, Deighton (I turn the big 5 0 this year), Den my husband and our 3 kids. Hunter who is 20 and is now bartending... Camden 13 still an avid lacrosse player and fisherman and the youngest Brinley, 9 for now but on August 10 she will turn 10 in Disney World.

Here is a brief schedule of the next 2 weeks. As I stated earlier we will arriving in Charlotte, NC around 4 pm today. We have reservations at a southern BBQ restaurant (let the feeding frenzy begin). Tomorrow, we leave early to get to Savannah Georgia as soon as possible. We have a lot that we want to do here but the weather is not showing that it is going to cooperate. Hopefully the weather man is as wrong in Savannah as they are in
Pittsburgh!

After a night in Savannah, we are headed to Disney Springs for 2 days. We have reservations in Disney Springs and this is when we will do some resort hopping. Then it is home to The Boardwalk for 9 nights with a seven day hopper. Then back to Charlotte to meet up with my brother and his family. Then sadly home and back to the grind! I will post more details shortly!

Thanks for following and thanks to all of you who take the time to do Trip Reports! You have no idea how much it keeps me going💞

From your photos, I'm enjoying all of the Polynesian accents throughout the resort. Reason it all caught my eye was because the newer hotels on property, all seem to have that same sort of bland, minimalist vibe. Hence, it's really fun to see all the creative, colorful design elements throughout the Poly.

Your family also looks very happy with their surroundings, too! :)

Brin had kids fish and chips. Fun fact Brin loves all fish and seafood 😋 😍

Cam, the very irish, chicken fingers and French fries!

Again, no picture of my whiskey peppercorn sirloin with mashed potatoes and onion rings. I guess, I am so worried about getting the rest of the pictures, I keep forgetting mine. The steak was delicious. The rest came home in a box with bread and Irish chicken tenders!

The kids really wanted to swim and Den really wanted another drink so we parted ways. Hunter is also having contact issues... more on that, hopefully, not later!

So where did our journey take us...Jaleo for the win. Den has been dieing to try this place but we didn't think the kids would be interested. Boy were we wrong!!

We both settled down at the bar and got a maker's mark on the rocks.

Then he did the unthinkable... he ordered the giant charcuterie board. Now, I know you are judging me, namely him but most of it went in a box!

I did have a little bite of everything 😋 😳 It was all delicious especially the iberico ham (close up below)

Then we headed out in a beautiful heat lightning storm. Before you know it we were back on the bridge. Den said goodbye to the bridge last night because today, we finally go to the Boardwalk.

Staying at the Hilton was perfect for our little mini Disney Springs vacation. The 5 minute walk was completely ideal. Our vehicle has been parked in the same spot since yesterday morning which is how we like to vacation. I would definitely stay here again. It is a hotel with a few hidden costs plus paying for parking but still worth it.

The kids are all charged up for Typhoon Lagoon. Hopefully, I can get a few pics! Happy Tuesday everyone!

I couldn't agree with you more! The Polynesian is beautiful, classy and fun all wrapped up in one. We would have toured around outside more but it is just so hot and humid. I definitely think the powers that be, should be throwing more pizzazz into the newer construction instead of the minimalist approach. I don't think Walt would like it either...

You guessed correct. Raglan Road is where we were eating dinner. Den was definitely on a food frenzy yesterday! R can sleep! Den can eat!! 🤣
Cam is, definitely, turning into a teenager and so is his mouth... I am proud of all the kids! They are all making diverse food choices!
Hopefully, there is an end in sight at work soon but we know how that goes... thanks for checking in.
The background looked so familiar-must have been my view when I ate there!!
I’ll tell R you said that!!🤣
That’s a big problem with Disney-there are so many great places to go!! R complains about how many places he hasn’t been to. I say there’s only so much time. I don’t dare tell him how many places you went to in 1 day!!🤣🤣🤣 Of course, that would cut into his sleeping time…..

Well we definitely covered some eating ground yesterday. Lol there are so many options down here. It is hard to try new ones when you don't want to give up the old ones.

We had a blast at Typhoon Lagoon! The wave pool was hysterical!! Then we did some tube rides and laughed and laughed. Den, Brin and I spent an hour and a half in the lazy river, being lazy😄 Finally, at 1:30 we started to get tired and hungry. After, yesterday's feed bag session, we had not eaten all day! Here are a few pics that I have of the day.

Wow! Brin really needs to brush her hair! She lost her hair tie to a 6 foot wave. The sacrifice to the Tiki gods was worth it!!
Now we are in the lobby of the Boardwalk awaiting our room ready text...after a very long bus ride x 2 from Typhoon Lagoon. Everyone got too much sun and needs our luggage for aloe! Here are some pictures of my current view.

Room ready never came so I walked over at 4 pm to see what our time frame was going to be. I very wonderful CM named Jim was very helpful. He gave me a choice of a few rooms, one ready now, one over the "croquet court" available an hour later or more, and one very, very far away. You have never heard me complain about some of the walks we have had from our hotel back and forth but, that one was a hike so after some thought I chose the one ready immediately. We'll see how I feel about it in 9 days! Our view... drum roll please...

1st floor... right outside the pool. I am worried if I want to nap in the afternoon but the kids are thrilled with how close it is to everything.
