Oh please what games does the PS3 have? Nothing that I'm interested for sure. I have a Wii and 3 games: Zelda, Super Paper Mario, and Sonic and the Secret Rings. Zelda is probably the most fun I've ever had w/ a video game. I'm at the final battle right now actually. Paper Mario is a lot of fun as well, very reminiscent of the old school Mario games. Sonic is a lot of fun as well, although the controls are a little frustrating. Another thing I love about the Wii is the ability to download the old Nintendo games. I'm hooked on the Donkey Kong Country games. I don't know how anyone could choose a PS3 over the Wii....

I think you can download games on the PS3 also.

DKC are great games!!!

Metroid will DEFINITELY be huge.
How is Sonic? I've been contemplating getting it but I think I may find myself bored with it. I bought the Sonic game for the DS and it's a fun game but I wouldn't have bought it if I had played it beforehand.

The following Wii titles seem pretty promising:

Battalion Wars 2
Donkey Kong Bongo Blast
Mario Strikers: Charged
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Super Smash Bros. Brawl (wasn't a fan of the GCube one...but this looks kinda fun)
Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga
Soul Caliber: Legends
Godzilla Unleashed (Sounds cheesy but looks very good!)
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games

What no transformers on the list!
Dont buy sonic, rent it first. The game wouldnt be that bad if it didnt have such bad control. Its way way touchy and with sonic thats a very bad thing. When you are moving so fast you need spot on control and this game gets frustrating fast.

 Well, that goes without saying

The reviews of the Transformers game are all positive...the only thing I've heard is that, in the testing version, they don't give you enough reasons to transform.

For instance, one level is a racing level with Bumblebee and you need to jump and transform in order to leap over certain obstacles...and they mentioned something about Starscream also that seemed pretty sweet.

Exactly, the game would be awesome if they could have fine tuned the controls a bit more.

I have a Wii and four games for it besides Wii Sports: Super Paper Mario(Great game), Spiderman 3(fun fight controls), Super Swing Golf(reminds me of Hot Shots Golf, but the computer makes impossible shots way too often) and Pokemon Battle Revolution(primarily because it's the first full Wi-Fi game they have). I have to say I've really enjoyed all the games, but like I was saying about Super Swing Golf, I've never seen anyone drive 280 yards out of a sand trap and have it go into the hole before, but the computer has done it twice when I was beating it, so I think there's a slight problem with the game. It's still fun though. I'm looking forward to this year's Madden game because it's supposed to allow you to turn and jump to make a catch as the receiver if you actually jump up and raise your hands in front of the tv. I seem to remember something about them designing the Wii version independently of the others so they could focus on Wiimote gameplay.

I'm still waiting for most of those games! I can't wait for Super Paper Mario and now Mario Kart!
I went to get Mario Party 8 yesterday but they have delayed the release due to swearing in the code :(
and Super Smash Bros Brawl is at the top of my list

From what I saw at E3 nintendo talked mostly about how great the system is selling and not enough about the games. The only game that got my attention was KiNGHTS journey into dreams by sega. Besides metroid what about some games for the hardcore gamers? I still dont see the wii as anything more than a party system untill I start to see something other than mario and party games. Nintendo let me down at E3 so I hope they have something better to give us at the TGS.

As much as I loathe to admit it - I agree with you at the moment. There are very few games on the Wii that I could sit and play for hours (apart from Zelda). But on the other hand - I would rather play with my friends than on my own (but they arent always around)

I spent a good majority of yesterday playing Super Paper Mario. It's an awesome game. And I'm a loser.

I agree multi-player is a must but you have to have great AAA titles in all catagories. Like you said, your friends are not always around. I loved the original x-box but it was WAY heavy on the first person shooters and that got old for me. It looks like the 360 is doing a bit better in the variety department this time though. Why did the PS2 dominate last generation? It had something for everyone: rpgs, shooters, action, adventure, puzzle, racing, sim, rts, sports, flight, kid friendly... and thats what the wii has to do. You cant be a one trick pony and win, you can have success but you wont dominate.
