And New Disney Quest News?

There are all sorts of rumors surrounding possible new attractions at the main parks, but what about Disney Quest? I went there back in December of 08 and the place was the exact same as it was when I was last there in 2004, except not nearly as cool because I saw everything the last time I was there. Any rumors, speculation or news on any major changes to Disney Quest? The place could really use something...

no new "attractions" but lots of new arcade cabinets (new games). The 4th floor is now serving alcohol. I'll have to check w/DW, but I think right now it's beer only, with the possibility it may be converted to a full bar.

And before anyone tries to bring it up, NO IT'S NOT GOING AWAY OR BEING TURNED INTO AN ESPN CLUB. Ug. That d**** rumor will never die.

Another FYI, it hit capacity 6 times over the past two weeks.

What needs to happen is for it to get a pretty drastic refurb. I would love to see some more state of the art attractions, particularly more actual rides. There are a bunch of things that are way out of date (Alien Encounter, Mighty Ducks Pinball exc) that should be replaced by something better. I'd love to see some kind of dark ride concept appearing in there, even in a smaller proportion. More importantly they just need to start giving the place more attention because it is really out of date and needs some love.

Oh yea, it can be really confusing for a first timer. But after you've been there many times, you should be able to figure it out better.

But yes, I agree that DQ could use some love. A new attraction would be cool. Dont know what or how they could do it, but if they did that would be cool.

I still get lost all the time! They also need to do something about the slowest internet connection ever on those computers.

Yeah, well, theres no reason for that to happen with all the open space around it now. Especially with Virgin closing soon too.

Ha. So I guess this will be version 2.0 of that rumor? ESPN coming to some of the free space once Virgin shuts down?

Even though the Boardwalk location is small.. I think it fits perfectly there.

An ESPN Zone isn't really the same thing as the ESPN Club at the Boardwalk.
They have a lot of similarities, but picture the ESPN Club with a Dave and Busters together, and on a huge scale.

I love Disney Quest, but it needs some TLC. Frankly, the first thing I'd do is put an emergency shut-off on that Jungle Cruise attraction. The first time I went on it I got severely motion sick, and the next time (years later), my brother did. We were the only ones on it, so I'd hope that we could have just stopped the darn thing...

you could brave the current of the river and swim yourself to safety!

That might be fun climbing over the moving inflatable!

I too love DQ. Though I agree some things need updating (never understood the popularity of Mighty Ducks Pinball), Most of the main attractions are still pretty neat! Alien Invasion on the top floor is a classic IMHO. It's nice that it's not centered around Disney Characters. I've always wished that I could build one of those mini-bridge rooms in my house! That would be sweet. Tho my room would look even more like a cockpit then the one at DQ.

It would be great to have a Tron based floor in Disneyquest, just to get rid of the old ones and prepare in time for Tron 2!!!!

THEY GOT RID OF THE CHEESECAKE FACTORY!? why? that SUCKS!

Personally I love DQ, but i only go when im with my friends, b/c my dad doesnt like games. Personally i love the place but when i go theres usually an attraction or two down. I also love the XS attraction, its my fave, if they bring back AE, i vote for it to stay!
