I think it's tacky when you apply for something internally, go through two interviews and they decide to go with someone else but fail to tell you that and you have to find out on your own. Come on people. Have the courtesy to let your candidates know they didn't get the job (or atleast the small group you interviewed twice).

Sorry to hear that, hope things work out for you in the end.

Well, I am back to work in a completely different field, Medical Service Assistance. I took a huge pay/position cut, but I am not reapplying for my paralegal job every two years, but the funding for that job ran out. I am hoping I can get trained and move up quickly. It is a different world, and I miss that fact that I don't really have to "think" at the job. Right now I just make appointments and check in patients. But the training is going ok and I like the people I work with, I just don't see myself staying there too long.

I think I'm ready for a big change myself... I've been in the call center related project management field for a very long time and have been working for large banks for the majority of that. If it wouldn't mean a huge salary change I'd quit today and work for the Disney Store or something.
