Not around here it wasn't. Or at least I don't rememer it being this hot. We've really toasty up here - I can only imagine how hot it must be there.

I remember how oppessive it used to be when we'd do our yearly summer vacation trips.
It's been hot here, but not as bad as a lot of people have had it.

Indeed! I remember waiting for an hour for Dumbo one year when DD was very young. I had water and frozen juice boxes with me, and even they didn't help. Hang in there kiddo!

BTW 9 weeks from tomorrow!

I'm going bonkers... I interviewed for a job here and then got a second interview. I think it went really well and I'm excited and hoping to hear good news (i.e. an offer) but it's been forever and I've not heard yet. When jobs are internally posted, like this one, they have to tell you one way or the other so I'm just on pins and needles and getting REALLY impatient. LOL!

So I finally heard who my replacement will be. It seems that they ended up hiring 2 people to basically replace me and then drastically cut back the hours of another teacher and will use those 2 people to fill in the gaps. I'm not sure I totally understand, but that's fine with me.

We'll be in Fl from the 10th to the 17th. We're staying off-site, and we're still working on schedule. I just need to get away.
