Anyone done a Wikimapia showing all of the current empty or closed attractions? I know I could likely do something similar just using a guidemap, but it would be an interesting exercise to really see all the available space.

That is a really good idea. An overhead of DHS highlighting all areas vacant or soon scheduled to be vacant. It might give a better picture of what is coming together?

I was starting to put one together using the guidemap and just MS Paint, but was having a hard time in my head remembering what was confirmed and was was rumor. I've seen 1/2 the park mentioned as rumored to be closing, but did some searching to try and figure out what was official, and I just wasn't finding it as easily as I thought I would.

I take this as a sign that Disney is looking to save some money. Lots of signs of that in 2014. I presume that gift shop is not terribly profitable given its location.

There are lots of things ending at the studios up right now but none of that is indicative of an eminent project starting.

I kinda liked the old hollywood merch and photo prints in there since thats where they moved a lot of it from Cids. So now I guess they are doing away with that stuff too? ugg this park.

The imagination pavillion would be a better place for that. but either way, that would just be too practical. Disney would never consider showing us how they plan these things out as in thier eyes the planning and building stages have no sales value.

My bet: it will either go empty for 2+ years, or will become a M&G as others have mentioned.

The space doesn't have much expansion value on its own unless...LMA go[es] away...

Could it please? That would just be fantastic. I don't think a bigger waste of space exists in any of the parks worldwide. It doesn't even add any aesthetic value to the area. A fenced off sinkhole would be more appealing. And less boring!

Wow I was just in there in Sunday and purchased a Oscar trophy. DHS is boring, however, I will give them credit the frozen fireworks are exceptional.

Am I trying too hard to fake being excited? Just another building that will sit empty for years. I would love for Disney to prove me otherwise.
