Charly and Latoya are my votes, though I loved amy too. I think that if one of these three gals does not make it tonight, there will have a very good shot at one of the wildcards spots.

and once again, the girls have amazing nights. I wonder what the boy:girl ratio will be....

So far, the only guy to get through the first three rounds (I'm predicting--easily--two females tonight) is Matthew and he only got in because of the extreme weakness of his group. I don't know any of the guys that deserve a wild card either, unless they want to fix the ratio. That being taken into consideration, Eric Yoder from last night might get in as WC. Whatever happens, the guys will not last long in the final 12.

I completely agree. There has not been a single guy that I am impressed with thus far. Yoder might get in because of his resemblence to clay.

I really hope Yoder doesn't get a wild card, simply I wasn't at all impressed with the guy. He sang a standard, and I can't say that he did much to blow me away with it.

I voted Amy, Latoya and ( ) Jon. I like the kid, and I have to say he did a heck of a job on a difficult song.

OK, I just watched my tape. You guys weren't kidding. That Latoya was PHENOMINAL! I still love Amy. And I find something very likeable about the pen guy

Amy and Latoya move on! Isay, a good group, and two very good people coming out of it.

Yeah...I have to admit...the two best moved on. What surprised me the most was that Jon Peter Lewis was picked for the top three, apparently getting more votes than Leah Labelle or Charly Lowry.

no kidding, even Jon was shocked when they announced his name! Charly and Leah definatly have a shot at one of the wildcard spots.

I still think Jon deserves a spot at the wild card.

I really didn't like Leigh, and Charly reminded me WAY to much of Camille from last week.

The return of Scat Girl, She Bang dude, and Army Girl. What a night to say, "I'm embarrassed to have watched." Army Girl did okay though.

That was a pretty cute song. If you can believe it, Scatgirl sounded better scatting. I think she did some song from a movie last night. It was, eh, yeah. . . it was.

I agree about the Army gal! Wasn't she Air Force? Anyway, she did a real good job. I think the problem with her original audition was that she went first. After finishing with Rubin and Clay last year, the judges probably had their expectations set way too high when the first people auditioned.

Scat Girl can't sing worth a damn...period. I've heard drunks in a karaoke bar sound better than her even before I got drunk. I'm sorry, comes a time in everyone's life to accept the brutal truth about your talent or lack thereof.

William hung? What can anyone say about this guy. The country fell in love with his honesty and innocence. The guy has a 25K contract, a bodyguard in Berkely and a fan club to be envied by most pop stars.

I LOVE WILLIAM HUNG! I must say, I love Will. He's too kool. I did record last night's show. Maybe I need to watch the parts I missed. Scat Girl, hmmmm, her first audition, well, all I can say is I gotta give the girl credit for trying!

I don't mind you butchering Ricky Martin :hurl: but he destroyed Two Worlds from Tarzan.

She's Army, and she is lucky I have never seen her. She's a good singer and all but a lot of what she did really ticked me off. It all started when she left her beret on at her first audition. Then she goes and gives Seacrest a set of Airborne Wings 'because she wants him to have them.' Grrr... I can think of a lot of Screaming Eagles who have shot her for giving something like that for no reason.

March 2nd

Last night's performances were ok. I really liked that 16 year old red-head boy, John Stevens. He has a real nice mellow voice and he sung a difficult song, "She's Always A Woman," that emphasized the tone quality. The judges described him as having qualities of the 'rat pack' and he does sound a bit like a very young Dean Martin. With a little makeover to make him look less nerdy and a little more classier plus a little better song, he could be a real contender. I hope the kid makes it.

I also thought the Hawaiian gal was good, Jasmine Trias.

I had to laugh out loud when Simon told the one girl that she's ugly when she sings.

She did kind of grimace (no intention to turkey leg) when she sang.

I thought the Hawaiian girl was good and the first girl to sing. Other than that, dissappointing night. That next to last chick, who definitely qualifies as eye candy, screamed her song. I was amazed the judges didn't rip her up. I was also suprised that Paula and Randy liked the last performer.
