Anyone who isn’t charmed and delighted by the Secret Life of Pets ride must hate puppies
Personally I'm not too big on it because it's a bit too noisy for my tastes. So much happens that it's hard to take it all in like with a classic dark ride. But I do love the effects and would like to see more like it.

Seriously, those seats and restraints look like they’re for a multi-looping RMC coaster. I’d love to hear someone involved with the project explain this.
Yeah, my friend squeezed on and was wondering if there was going to be some unexpected thrill element. A person from their group had an easier time getting on Jurassic World than SLOP. Strange.

Every ride at Universal is loud with a ton going on. That’s the “woah.”
That's true, but if you compare this to something like the tram tour (which is kinda a dark ride somewhat) or e.t. adventure there's a clear and obvious difference. Both of those while having a lot going on don't overwhelm you, letting you soak in all the details. Pets bombards you with so much, I had to watch it twice to kinda sorta understand what's happening. Still a decent ride with lots of details but not for me.

As I recall, someone once complained to Walt Disney after the mockup of Pirates that there was too much conversation and action and you couldn't take it all. He replied that's fine. People will just want to ride it again :)

Universal’s parent company is extremely nervous about lawsuits lately. I would expect more of this in the future.
It's a dang dark ride! And a basic one at that. Forbidden Journey this is not.

If you're turning guests away for a ride that stays flat and guided on a track, that's an engineering failure. It's needlessly turning people away and creating angry people for no reason.

It boggles the mind that Americans keep getting bigger and restraint designs seem to only be getting *more* restrictive. I get that there are safety concerns, but SLOP is hardly Twisted Collosus either. It a decision that doesn't hold up to any scrutiny whatsoever.

I agree it is over kill for a ride of this kid. It does not need the same lap bar that is on Twisted Colossus. That would be like putting that on Haunted Manions' Doom Buggys

Just had a thought about SLOP: What if the low capacity, tight, tiny seating and ridiculous roller coaster restraints are all just to keep guests aligned for the animated mirror effect???? If so, that would be a monumentally bad trade-off.

Even Snapchat filters have no problem picking out a face anywhere in a frame and replacing it. I don’t think so (and I really hope not!).

What!? When did they announce this? Despicable Me is one of like the only 3 things my son can do and probably what he would have enjoyed the most.

Just captured it from the website. I’m surprised about Minion Mayhem and Simpsons. Maybe it is a temporary staffing issue? No real reason they can’t operate.
