I wonder when this soundstage will go away from an attraction. This was the original Special Effects show building that was part of the Tram tour back in the 70's and 80's. They used this building recently for the Weekend and Stranger Things mazes during HHN.

Universal Japan is adding magical creature meet and greets to their Wizarding World. Let's hope these migrate to California.

While at Disneyland we can meet two lonely stormtroopers. Where is the Lothcat meet & greet?

I like how they soft opened Nintendo Land for more than a month before the real opening.

Disney could learn from this. It will really reduce crowds for the official opening now that so many people have already had a chance to go there.

Then again Disney likes to inconvenience their guests to upsell Lightning Lanes.

Plus Illumination has the Super Mario Bros. movie coming out. So not only does Universal have a new Nintendo land but they also have a guarantee hit movie on its hands. Disney, where is the Wish land to promote the movie? We don't need it twenty years later.

Disney really, really needs to relearn how to build a quality attraction as quickly as they could decades ago. This, of course, would probably mean massive restructuring and giving the parks top priority—Something I find hard to believe could actually happen in such a huge, lumbering media corporation (not the cool Paul Bunyan kind of lumbering).

Disney must be really kicking themselves in the foot right now. Especially since Disney briefly had the theme park rights to the Super Mario Bros series (made by Hollywood Pictures, Disney's defunct film division) back in the 1990s in hopes of the live-action film ending up a successful. The idea was quickly killed after the film's terrible performance as the box office.

A few decades later, Universal now has the Theme Park Rights to both Harry Potter and Mario (and possibly Donkey Kong). And both IPs would find someway to get associated with Disney.
