Things in that WSJ profile that I forgot to mention:

* NBCUni content is being gradually pulled from Hulu beginning next year; they'll be gone completely by the time Comcast sells its Hulu stake in 2024.
* Universal's first-run movie deal with HBO is over beginning next year. Movies post-theatrical run will instead show up on Peacock beginning that year (same thing with Illumination movies, which are with Netflix until around the same time as the HBO deal; DreamWorks movies are still stuck at Hulu until 2023).

Caveat: The movies will be exclusive to Peacock for only four months, with a third-party licensee gaining rights for the remainder of the pay 1 window.

That's what happens when your streamer is doing lackluster business.
The article there said it a little differently. Said first four months and last four months:

Universal’s slate will go to Peacock as the pay-one partner for the initial four months of the period, as well as the final four months of the window. During the middle 10 months, those films will be licensed to additional partners, who will not have exclusive rights. Roughly two streamers or cable networks will have the rights to air Universal films during that period.

Prime Video is sharing Universal movies on Peacock after their four month exclusive window lapses.

This is similar to the deal Prime had with Epix for Paramount, MGM and Lionsgate movies.

The findings of this article are shocking.

* 42 million sign ups by April, a third of whom (14 million) are active
* Only 20% of active users (about 3 million people) are paying customers, meaning the rest either have the free tier or get it through Xfinity or C(o)x
* Per that WSJ story from about a week or two ago, Peacock has 10 million subs for the premium. If we take that 3 million figure, the vast majority of premium users get it through Xfinity or C(o)x

Yeesh. Not exactly direct-to-consumer.

Universal extends Netflix deal for animated slate, will include DreamWorks and Illumination movies.

Similar to the Prime Video deal, for Uni's live-action movies, DWA/Illumination movies will appear on Netflix after a four-month window on Peacock.

No more DWA movies on Hulu after 2021.

Netflix results not too bad, but that earnings miss...oof.

Definitely seems to give credence to that D+ sub number leak earlier this month.

Netflix also lost 433,000 subs in North America during the quarter, the only region they lost subs.
