It has been replaced with a fire pit when they built Ghostrider. It stood right behind the pan for gold area. You can see it at the exit to the park.

you are not allowed to access that area anymore????? what?? that is a shame! when did this happen?The George Washington Fireplace. Another original attraction that still exists today. I believe it is locked up in a room behind the berry market.
my favorite spot in the whole park. it is sooo beautiful to look at and so peaceful. well when there are not the sounds of toilets flushing of course.Lets not forget the secret garden waterfall lava rock garden brought from Death Valley. Another original free attraction that is still there.
It originally had tropical plants. That would be something California farmers would have never seen.
whew. i am glad the public still has access to it. it would be a crying shame if that was closed off forever.
Was the bigfoot AA actually working? Lastest ride POVs I have seen it does not seem to be moving like it did on opening dayI rode Calico River Rapids last night and it was a blast. I didn't get too wet but the other people got soaked. Henry the bear is bigger than I thought. I like the wolf and the guy shooting the fish. The TNT plungers are free and will randomly set off an explosion. Most of the time the fuse fizzes out. I like the wall they put at the entrance. It looks like a fort. You can see into the ride at different sections. They tried to hide Pony Express from within the ride. You really don't notice it. Knotts did a great job with this ride.
No. He was frozen and in the dark. However, he did look a lot better than the opening day version. He looked less cartoonish to me. Maybe they will install that disco ball?

It's the same AA but around the eyes and he is a lot browner looking. I guess it was the flash used in this picture that takes something away from it. He does look a lot better in person and he is big!
