Paranormal's time has come, IMO. Clearly it's lasted because of the opening gimmick, which is admittedly cool, but the rest of the maze was showing its age in 2019.

I guess I understand Pumpkin Eater leaving, but it was one of my favorites.

Am I the only one who doesn't like Dark Entities? I know its location isn't helping foot traffic, but it's never seemed particularly popular on my visits to the event.

Dark Entities is definitely a pretty weak maze, but since it is new, it will still be around a couple of more years. Dark Ride is one of my favorites though so I hope that a lot of other mazes close before it.

Just came off of Bear-y Tales. It was awful. :(
Because all you do is go to screen to screen. not even a AA on the ride. just as dumb as "Voyage to the Iron Enchantment Under the Sea Dance" or whatever it was called. Kingdom of the Dinosaurs took you through a visually interesting journey through time. I give it 5 years before this ride is removed. Just like the previous ride, people will stop going on it. All Knott's had to do was update Kingdom of the Dinosaurs with new AAs and effects.

The screens, story, concept, etc. are fine by me. I feel the idea behind the attraction is fitting for the park and went in with an open mind and wanting to love it especially after Voyage to the Iron Reef being lackluster. I was hoping they had ironed out the kinks.

However, the 3D on the screens is fundamentally broken in many segments, both of our blasters didn’t really work and when they did it was nearly impossible to tell if you were firing or where. -and that ending segment. Jeez that was rough. -and bad. It wasn’t even in 3D.

I have complaints with Spider-Man but heck, at least it actually worked. If you’re doing to do a “video game ride”, the game needs to actually work. This one just didn’t. Big Oof for Knotts.

The capacity and load times for Voyage to the Iron Reef were absolutely terrible, that alone should have led them to gut the entire ride system and build something completely new in the same building. I mean, if they got the capacity up to 20 people an hour, it would be an improvement compared to Iron Reef's capacity.

Will you ride it ever again?

Beary Tales is more than adequate as replacement for Iron Reef. In fact, it’s a much improved replacement. This is another case where opinions vary and expectations were set too high. And I had a pretty good score too.

Expecting actual AA's on a dark ride where the original version of said ride had AA's and the ride after featuring Dinosaurs also had AAs is not setting "expectations too high".

Bear-y Tales? Not of my own choice, no. But if I ever have children and take them to Knotts or I’m at Knotts with a friend or whatever and they really wanted to, I wouldn’t tell them no. I certainly wouldn’t enjoy it. But I wouldn’t let how I feel about an attraction try and bring down their day if they wanna do it or they like it. -and if they don’t like it, we’ll be able to make fun of it together, hah.

yeah i did beary tales last week it was ok. not nearly as good as webslingers but a nice different style darkride and still say its a plus for knotts. I really didnt like the way you "shoot" the jam jar guns by pulling the sting back either.

I was really into the mine train dark ride, so much bigger than i expected. The massive show scenes looked great for their age.

This is why the ride won't last 5 years

Just wanted to double down on this. Load times were awful. Certainly not helped by Knotts not having enough team members to properly group people.

So you’re expecting an exact replacement of a closed ride when it replaced Iron Reef using that technology. This is ridiculous expectations. I assure you no one will know how to do that.

No I was expecting a modern day dark ride using modern day AAs in a building known for decades for housing dark rides with AAs and not play a video game and call it a "ride"

hangtime has been closed forever, maybe they will put something new in its place? maybe retheme that entire boardwak area cause its the weak point of the park?
