Alcohol in the Magic Kingdom

Sadly I think we will get OCV carts selling beer/wine by the cup, I can't see bottle sales because of the hazards posed by broken glass.
Think aluminum bottles... (no implied or actual endorsement of the product intended)

Have you been to DHS? They have CMs walking around selling beer outside some of the queues like they have in baseball stadiums. Stay classy Disney...

Spotted them outside of RnR and ToT for sure.

I've never seen this either. Weird.

I saw this last year during Christmas week. They were selling to the Fantasmic queue that was lined up down Sunset Boulevard.

I shutter at the thought of individuals with beers in hand standing in front of it's a small world :(

Personally, I am neutral to the change as it can go either way and I don't need it at MK (gets too hot when we go and people are rowdy enough).

That said, in front of Small World is the only place in MK that makes me want to drink, and drink heavily. While the attraction is an artsy presentation and a cute idea, once the song is in my head, it permeates my brain and purges every last bit of humanity I have. There should be a HUGE bar with frozen drink machines and ample cold on tap choices for both before and after that attraction.

Great idea, Disney should incorporate Anna & Elsa into IASW! They could put all of their characters into sections of the ride! I'm surprised they haven't thought of that already...

For me, it boils down to the "bigger picture" and whether or not this move is a step in restoring or retiring more of the magic. Just my opinion, but I don't think this is a step in the right direction, if that direction is to preserve what's left of what we once knew as Disney. Yes, yes, I know there are tons of others changes that have also signaled a departure as well, I'm just saying that this decision isn't "helping".

I don't mind alcohol at TS or even QS. But people walking around with open cups is sleazy looking to me. I went to Great Wolf Lodge a while back and most of the parents had an open Solo cup at the Forest Friends Show. I didn't like it.

You mean like THIS (Red Solo Cup) from Toby Keith

I've never seen that on any visit. You're talking about CMs with 'cigarette girl' style trays stocked with cups of beer, walking down the queue and selling it as you're standing there?

Not everything needs to be a "step in restoring or retiring more of the magic." Some things are just perfectly neutral things that happen. How will this change affect you or "the magic" in any way whatsoever? The only thing this changes is that Disney know-it-alls won't be able to flaunt their knowledge with "you know, Walt didn't want alcohol in any of the castle parks..."

Strange and mysterious things come out from hiding during Christmas week. I don't doubt it.

Yes, through New Years'. It was the most utterly chaotic, insane, jam-packed time I've seen at the parks, every ride with long long waits, total chaos. Epcot on New Years Eve was shoulder-to-shoulder, crowds like I've never seen before -- I've no desire to experience that ever again. They definitely tried a lot of ways to keep crowds happy, but baseball-stadium-style beer hawkers --- not when I was there.
