I think Phil and Jordin were by far the best two of the night. Melinda close behind them, but I could have done without everyone else's performances.

I think that's pretty much spot on. I'm a Blake fan, so I would enjoy his mediocre (for him) performance more than a non-fan. But I think you're right.

Chris, Chris, Chris...

Terrible performance as usual. The judges FINALLY call him out on being nasally. And Chris responds, "It was intentional". If it was intentional, you wouldn't be terrible and nasally EVERY WEEK.

After sounding like an idiot with his "intentionally nasal" comment, Chris realizes he is going down. And his next response was so fake! He only brought up the Virginia Tech incident as a way of getting some nice-guy votes.

I think it's Chris's time to go home. I hated both his performance and his response to negative feedback from the judges. And he truly deserved that feedback.

Agreed. I thought that was totally out of line.

Ditto

Let me just add...Sanjaya was worst than ever. And, by the way he looked tonight, when he doesn't make it as a singer, he could always replace Aunt Jemima on a bottle of maple syrup.

Top 3 vocals for me were Melinda, Jordin and (I can't believe I'm saying this) Phil. Phil can sing! Who knew? Lakisha was not real good. Chris was bad. Blake was pitchy and whiny. I can't believe the judges gave him such a love fest. Sanjaya was at his personal worst.

Here's my overall ranking of the night.

1. Jordin-I loved her tonight, she adapted to country music well. Her voice was powerful, controlled, and the strongest of the "Divas."
2. Phil-I'm shocked to admit this, but his performance was good. Best Phil performance yet. He deserves to make the Top 6 (and then be eliminated).
3. Lakisha-Not great, but I did enjoy her take on an Underwood song. Unlike the judges, I did like her performance.
4. Melinda-Losing her lead very rapidly, I was expectedly disappointed. I'm glad that DialIdol currently has her in 4th.
5. Sanjaya-Not good at all, but I enjoyed him over the 2 below. His little story before the song was funny, as was his hair.
6. Blake-I preferred Diana Ross week to this performance. And I did not like him during Diana Ross week.
7. Chris-See my earlier post below. As usual, I hated his performance. But his comments during and after judging pushed me over the edge. I was disgusted by everything that came out of his mouth tonight. Intentionally nasal (yeah right),Virginia Tech, I was stunned.

Not Blake's best tonight, but Country week is extremely difficult for him and he was the best overall last week so I'm pretty confident he'll avoid the bottom 3.

I didn't think Melinda was as good as the judges said.

For me tonight:
1. Jordin (by a mile)
2. Phil
3. Melinda
4. Blake
5. Chris
6. Lakisha
7. Sanjaya
I agreed right down the line! The sad thing is, if the votefortheworst succeeds one more time [despite Simon's efforts to say enough is enough], then there's a good chance Lakisha goes this week. She was second worst, but doesn't deserve to go home.

I agree with Chris response.

What do you think of Simon saying something at the end.?
I think Simon said it when he did to deflect the nice guy" votes away from Chris... and I hope it worked!

Bottom three in order best to worst: Chris, Lakisha and Sanjaya. Hopefully this week America will get it right and send Sanjaya home.

Wow, Phil was amazing for once! Jordin was also amazing and I believe she can win it all. I think it's finally Sanjaya's time! He was way worse than usual, and I have to agree with everything Simon said of him. Lakisha was bad. She butchered Carrie's song and screamed through the whole thing. Melinda was great and Blake was ok. Chris was nasally as usual.

My bottom three are Sanjaya, Lakisha, and Chris, with either Chris or Sanjaya going home. I hope more than anything that it's Sanjaya so we can get rid of him for good.

I only tuned-in halfway through Phil, but it seemed to be doing really well.

I didn't like Lakisha at all - but Sanjaya was horrible to a new extreme nightmarish really, and Chris was almost as bad. Blake sucked, but not enough to go home.

Jordin was awesome. So was Melinda, but she runs risks having picked a song no one has heard of.
