I went to Disneyland in 77 or 78 so I was 5 or 6. I remember Peter Pan, the submarines and the MSEP. I also remember IASW was closed for refurb and my mom was very upset. Back to DL in 84, 97, 05. Went to WDW with my DH for the first time in 2000, and many times since. My oldest DS went to WDW at 4 months and my youngest went to DL at 6 months. Gotta start them young!! Love everything Disney!!

My first trip - I was 4, would have been 1972. MK was the only park at that time!
Wife first trip - she was about 15, so it would have been 1989 or so, and it was to Disneyland.
Our first trip together would have been 1994 - so I was 26 and she was 20 - and it was a day trip to EPCOT.
Our son's first trip was 2001, he was 3 1/2, and we only visited the MK.
Our daughters first trip was 2003, she was 2, and we visited MK, EPCOT, and AK.

For all of us, our first visit to DHS (then MGM) was later in 2003. We've since made 12 more trips - some long weekends, a couple of day trips.

Visited Disney Land in 1987 when I was 22. Visited the Wonderful World of Disney in 2004 when I was 39, and have been hooked ever since. We have returned to Disney World in 2006 and 2008. DD is now 12 and DS is now 10. It's great to see the kids grow older and their interests change as we visit again and again. When my Dear Husband suggested Disney many years ago, the youngest was about 18 months old and I started crying. I thought 'I can't even keep my thoughts together in the grocery store with 2 kids, how can we go to Disney?' Three words....portable DVD player. We enjoy every trip more and more.

WDW - I, like lifeguard, was there about three weeks before I was born. My mum pinned a tiny pair of Mickey Ears on her shirts on the top of her belly (made by my aunt). I was about 8 months old before we made it back to Florida for a trip in 1985.

DL - I was about 5 months old. My parents were out in Anaheim for a collectors convention and they brought me to Disneyland. Apparently even then they new I was a Donald Duck person because I cried when I saw Mickey, Minnie or Goofy but I settled right down the minute I saw Donald.

I was 12 and it was 1981. We stayed at a really bad off sight hotel whose name I don't remember. Next trip was 6 years later right beforeI graduated from high school. Next trip was with my parents, my kids who were 9 and 12 at the time, my brother and my DH. Now we're all hooked and we go twice a winter to escape the cold Wisconsin winters. A much easier trip now that my parents spend their winters in Orlando and are CMs!

I was 4 years old when my family made their first trip to Disneyland, a week after Walt died. I remember the solemn faces of the CM's and didn't understand why. "Such a fun place and everyone is sad," I questioned.
