AE Alien?

Not that I'm expecting anyone to know any hardcore stuff but does anyone know what became of the actual alien AA from the now defunct AE? It doesn't seem like they could get much use out of it but it seems awfully wasteful to just scrap such an expensive AA.

They probaly just took off the outer rubber skin of the alien and put on a new Stitch over the robot. All they would have to do is reprogram the AA to do whatever they wanted it to do.

Wow, that would have to be some crazy attraction to reuse that AA from AE. Maybe they'll add it to Snow White's Scary Adventure to ensure NO kids like that ride. Or maybe they can integrate it at the bottom of the drop on PotC in those 3 pitch black seconds. OR EVEN BETTER! Put it on Maelstrom and make it eat the three headed trolls that are cursing you. :hammer:

Sorry, I could think of inappropriate things all day...

If it's as blasé in broad daylight as many a CM has led me to believe, I doubt anyone would find any place useful to put it other than their basement with some themeatic lighting.

I'd be in on that auction in a heartbeat. I'd sell the wife's car to buy the alien and have a holding tube built, complete with smoke and strobe light.

The most likely cameo it will ever recieve is at Disneyquest at Invasion, on display. Or maybe a new X.S. Tech ride is in the works?

I used to love the whole X.S. Theme in AE and Space Mountain. They didn't have to get rid of it at Space Mountain!!

Space mountain was once themed to X.S. Tech? I didn't know this, we maybe if our impendind Space Mountain rehab is coming soon, could our alien friend/enemy make an appearance. Does it seem that unlikely?

I do remember a video they used to play in the Space Mountain queues with Clench and Space news, the one that I always remembered was a newscaster getting attacked by a tentacled creature...

SIR is still in place and just redressed and annoying right? I've only been in stitch once(not likely to change.....ever), and didn't pay real close attention. It looked like the same AA with a new bike helmet though. Although AE wasn't my overall favorite ride, SIR was my favorite piece of a Disney attraction.

I'm pretty sure Space Mountain never had an X-S Tech theme. You may be thinking of when Fed-Ex sponsored it and all the packages and everything were labeled "FX-something".

XS-Tech had a commercial on the old Space Mountain preshow-like monitors above the switchback queues before boarding. Disney did an excellent job of making Tomorrowland feel like a seperate community during the mid-late 90's. I'm just glad I got to spend plenty of time in the New Tomorrowland back when it was........the New Tomorrowland.
