I understand that a new stage is to be built in Adventureland. The Steel Drum Stage, where ever that is, is to have a new, higher stage built for the Jack Sparrow show. Please tell me this is incorrect. Anther freaking stage??? Why don't they just add a LCD screen and a CGI Stitch in a pirate outfit...

Lol, don't give them ideas. They already did that to the Tiki Room in Tokyo. ;)

And it actually isn't bad.... A better use of Stitch than WDW has.... They should close SGE and this dance show and put Stitch in WDW's version of Tiki Room... The version there now is horrible...

Let's compare the stage between 1978 and 2009:

Ok, this is odd....

I was there yesterday, and that ENTIRE AREA is blocked off with a wall. I figured they were making something. Now I don't understand. It if was done and open - why is it closed again?

^ I was going to ask the same thing!!!

We are here now and there are facades everywhere you turn in the MK ! I'm not complainingan because I think this is long overdue TLC..it is just taking me a little bit to get used to!

Can you be more specific? Is anything closed besides SM/TTA? Where are the walls located for example?

The facades & closures were up on the closed stage in adventureland, Splash Mountain, Main St had a store front totally closed (on the side with the emporium), in Liberty Square the façade of the Christmas Shoppe and adjoining buildings(including a covered walkway where Wendy & Peter have a character meet), then across the way was HoP (no big shock on that one), Space Mountain, the TTA, and IASW (again no shock on those last ones).

I didn't realize how many things were getting TLC....

Yeah it doesn't mesh with what we are being told by the doom and gloomers about how the MK is being allowed to fall apart. Perhaps you need to step back from the pixie dust.

I'm just wondering if the IASW work is the start of the FL makeover.

Thanks for the info. Have fun!

I don't think so. I don't have any information about it, but I just can't see it happening right now. With all the layoffs and budget cuts it's almost imposible to think any big makeovers. Except DCA, but that one was announced and agreed on in time.

I hope I can be proven wrong. :)
