Adult character Greeting

OK what do you all think about adults getting their pictures taken with the charaters. I was thinking about waiting in line to get my picture with Ariel in her grotto at the MK. Let me know what you think. And no I do not have a little kid I can use as an excuse. My daughter is 16 and thinks I am nuts. LOL

I say go for it. Though I hate having my pic taken (I usually do the family pic) Last time I had my pic taken with Shang from Mulan (by myself). He was standing by himself and I sent the kids over, but he wanted to have a pic with me. I recognized him and knew his name (he seemed embarrased because nobody was going over to him).

I also have a Tig pic well because...

The absolute best thing about Disney is that everyone is a kid when you're there. Young, old, in between, or whatever, if you want your picture taken with a character, then que up with the rest of the kids and have your picture taken. I PROMISE you won't be the only big kid in line. :) If you're there the same week I am I'll probably be in line with you. Ariel is a BABE. :D

Cheers

I sort of understand where you are coming from, ArielLover. I'm 29 and I was completely willing to make an idiot of myself with the costumed characters (getting my picture taken with Pooh, Eeyore, Mickey, Lilo and Stitch, etc), but couldn't bring myself to go up to the "real" characters, like Snow White and Mary Poppins. Of course, the disapproving looks from my wife didn't help. But remember, they get adults coming up to them all the time and won't think anything of it!

You're never too old for the characters. As a child, you grew up watching Mickey and the rest of the gang, so it's sort of like visiting old friends. If you want a picture, be sure to wait in line with everyone else, be polite and courtious to those in line with you, and remember when you reach the front of the line, that there are still people behind you and don't "hog" the character. And don't forget to have fun. :)

I'm with Erika...I would never do something so childish and immature...

When I went to Orlando on business, I naturally had to go to WDW. (Who wouldn't) I got my picture taken with every character I saw and I'm 41. I only got a few strange looks.

I can't relax properly until I've had my picture taken with Mickey Mouse, and I'm 27

Seriously though, for me, when I look over my holiday snaps, the best pictures are always the ones with the Disney characters. No need ask me to "Smile" for the camera as I already am :)

I'm really hoping to get my picture with Stitch this year!!

I'm with Erika and Freak. Characters are for kids. You'd never EVER catch me even being near one.

I am 22 and I insist on getting my picture taken with every character I come across. My mom always takes pics of me and my brother, and in April, when we met Lilo & Stitch at the AK, I took one with my brother then made her take one of just me and them...My favorite picture ever is one of me, Mickey, and Minnie. It's on my desk, front and center. People come into my room and say "Why do you have pictures of just yourself?" and I always answer "Hello...Mickey and Minnie are there too!" I see no shame in it. Especially since Disney makes it so easy to get your pic taken, when they have the character escorts who are willing to take a picture for you if you are alone or whatever. Go for it! :p
