Hi! I was wondering which is more efficient for booking ADRs? I want to book 180 + 10 days in advance and make sure I get nice places at reasonable hours. Should I call and speak to someone or should I try my luck online?
Thank you!!

I would call; the online system has been having its ups and downs over the past few months. Call and then just keep a record of your ADR numbers and restaurants/times. I usually put mine on an Excel spreadhseet......

Online is available at 6AM while the phones open at 7AM (both Eastern). The problems with online are negligible, you sometimes can't find the reservation later, but it's still there.

Get it earlier online would be my recommendation.

I use the dining reservation system online almost every week, and have never had a problem. But, if you don't find the times or restaurant you want, it doesn't hurt to call and check with a live person.

I think I will do the same... I might be late for work that morning though!

I am also waiting for the August calendar to be released before I can decide when & where we will be booking. I wish they would have them earlier so we could have more time to plan ahead!

I was waiting for the August calendar as well. So I tried this: I went to the Disney website and pulled up park hours. It's where they give you the day you select plus the next 10. I selected July 31st and sure enough the first part of August came up as well, even the EMHs. So if you are going in early August you can see the hours now.

As for making ADR's, I prefer online. It's earlier than the phones and it usually takes me about 15 minutes to finish. I only call when I have an issue. For example, I was trying to book a Fantasmic Dinner package this morning and it would only take ADR's through June, even though my 180+10 was up to August 5th. So I had to call and book that one.

I use the online as well and have only had one minor problem. For a few days last fall the "my reservations" tab did not show a complete list of my ADRs. I called and spoke to a cs rep would could see all the Adrs (even though I couldn't). After a few days the glitch was fixed. Each time you book online you will receive a email confirmation #...save these! Additionally, print your my reservations list each time you update just to be safe. I bring this copy with me on my trip to WDW. Overkill I know but it helps to eliminate any issues if the system happens to be down.
