My car accident story - I was driving along chatting to my friend who had just asked me to be Toastmaster at his wedding. As soon as I enquired what I would have to talk about as Toast Master, the steering on my car broke which put it into a skid that ended when it rolled onto its roof. We both crawled out unhurt and I remember looking at him over the belly of the car and saying "I could talk about this!"

The timing was even more fortuitous - had it happened several miles earlier I would have been doing 70MPH on a motorway rather than the 30MPH when it happened, which would probaly have had a worse outcome. Also if it happened a mile later I would have been on a VERY steep hill and would not have stopped rolling 'till it hit the bottom.

I can relate to that - as you know, but maybe not the rest of the gang, a good friend of mine runs a dance school in Bath, where I have helped out backstage and onstage in shows with a cast of over seven hundred kids. And I too don't like kids.

Just a few more to add:

My dad and I once won a dance contest doing the jitterbug

I can remember specific dates/events/races from NASCAR but have a hard time remembering some of my school stuff.

I was born in North Dakota

I set 2 alarm clocks every night (one by the bed and one across the room) and also check them both multiple times before going to sleep. (I've overslept too many times and now have a fear of it).

Wow I do the same thing. I've had a couple of instances where I've overslept because I didn't hear the alarm or I forgot to put it...once it almost cost me getting to a class on time to turn in a paper. So now I live with the paranoia of not getting up and am always checking my cell phone alarm more than once.

I am pretty much a person who dwells and worries over everything. My mom tells me I'm too young to be worrying like I do, but oh well .

Sadly (for me, not the audience :animwink: ), my performance experience is limited to The Real Inspector Hound (as Inspector Hound), and as the Page in Amahl and the Night Visitors.

I've always wanted to be Pilate in JCS, and to be Jud in Oklahoma. Fun parts.

I tend to do that as well. When I leave my house, I look in the rearview mirror several times just to make sure that I did indeed shut the garage (even though I've never left it open). I used to pull the handles on my car doors a few times after parking, but I can't anymore because I now have an alarm. So, now I look in the windows an extra time before leaving to make sure the locks are all locked. People must think I'm nuts!

  That reminds me of when I went to a Marlins game, my friend and I went back to the car to leave something and when we were on our way back (we had walked like 20-30 feet), I made her go back with me because I wanted to make sure the doors were locked . They were, but I needed to make sure .
