Hey...my kids love me...and I'm just a sub :p

Been there - done that - and that's almost worse than being the actual teacher... kids really take it out on subs! Your special rating just went up a notch! ;)

It must be a really good feeling to be loved by students. I love my LA teacher so much. She's a really good teacher. I would hate to be my science teacher -- everyone hates her. :p

Aww thanks :o

I used to be a welcome mat with these kids, and if I feel like crap, I'll probably let them do most anything they want. However, a lot of these kids know me to be firm when I have to be, and they respect me for it.

It's funny - I find that the teachers that I loved in highschool, I still smile when i think about them, but the teachers I could't stand... i have to have a certain respect for now - they usually were the strictest one's - and tended to be the one's that I remember the most of their subject...

did that make sense?:hammer:

I have no problems with strict teachers - my former science teacher was one, and I learned so much from her - but I do have problems with teachers that don't do anything with their classes.

Reminds me of my [main] eighth grade teacher... I channel so much rage and hatred toward her, I'm surprised she didn't light on fire... :lookaroun

I agree... what a waste - I've had a few classes like that, and it's pretty sad when the students are thinking "what a waste of time" and not "man, we can get away with anything in here!"

I have a problem with teachers that only read and teach out of the book.
If feels like what's the point...i could've just read it myself and not bother showing up to class.
(I hope you don't encounter those teachers in college).
