So as many of you know, we are officially 70 days to arriving in WDW! Woo Hoo! This will be our 3rd trip as a married couple, second with our daughter, first for the grandparents with our daughter, and their upteenth trip (actually I think it is somewhere around 6 or 7. My Mom and Dad are headed down via airplane on September 11th, 2013. They will be staying at the Contemporary main building for the entire length of their trip. They are extraordinarily lucky and get to stay 8 days. We will be arriving in Florida sometime on the 14th and will check in to the Contemporary (if I have anything to say about it) as early as possible on the 15th and head straight to Animal Kingdom. We plan on doing the usual suspects at AK. Start with the safari, wonder around a bit and hopefully eat at Flame Tree for lunch, ride EE for the first time for me. My mom and Cadence, my DD, will sit this one out for sure as my Dad may as he has some health issues to contend with. Festival of the Lion King and the Nemo shows and whatever else we can fit in before heading back to the Contemporary to unpack and freshen up for the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Cruise! Woo Hoo! So excited about this one.

Are there reasons not to wear wings?

Wings are allowed to be worn at the dinner table as long as one uses proper manners.

Having girls sounds like a lot more fun than having a boy. We had to make a 'must wear underwear at the dinner table' rule in our house. Although, my son would wear wings if they were Mothra-themed.

My big thing about taking them to the parks is basically just getting stuck lugging them around because they won't fit in a stroller. They are big, won't fit through a doorway.

That is one of the downfalls of larger wings. I went as Winged Victory for Halloween one year...gold body paint, gold gown, gold sprayed hair, etc...but it was my wings that were the pain. I forget how wide a wingspan I had, but I had to go sideways through all doors.

Okay so we are only 31 days away! Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thought I would give an update to our plans.

Sunday September 15th,

Fingers crossed we can arrive at Animal Kingdom at rope drop. If so this is my thoughts for there.

Kilimanjaro safari first thing

Head straight to Festival of the Lion King to get in the 10:30 am show

Explore a little bit, see the various lands and just enjoy the park.

Nemo show either at 12 or 3pm.

Parade at 3:45

Leave park after parade. Go to hotel to clean up and relax a little.

Pirates and Pals at 6:30

Monday September 16th

Meet in lobby at 7:00 to hop on monorail to Epcot

Breakfast with princesses at 8:00am

Head to Magic Kingdom and arrive hopefully by 9:30 or so.

Two options depending on what Cadence wants to do...ride railroad back to Fantasyland area or walk straight up Main St to castle area and then go to Fantasyland. Get in line for Story time with Belle. Grab Fast Passes for Ariel ride while we are in line. Depending on what time those are we can ride other rides like Peter Pan, It's a Small World, Tea Cups etc. Head to lunch around 2 at Be Our Guest. Watch parade. Go watch the Dream a Long with Mickey Show at 4pm. Try to get in to see Merida and Tiana sometime during the day. Do Splash Pad and Dumbo and Barnstormer. From there head to Pirates of the Caribbean and any others people want to try in that part of the park. Head towards Tomorrowland area and get in Monsters Inc Laugh Floor and Buzz Lightyear and Stitch if we can. Watch the Fireworks and Castle show. Head to hotel for cake.

Tuesday September 17th

Meet up and ride over to Epcot around 8am. Head to Character Spot to get pics with the Fab Five (Mickey and friends). Have someone go get FP to Soarin and Test Track as we enter Epcot.

If we have time before the World Showcase opens and lunch go to Nemo stuff. Once world showcase opens at 11, walk from Canada to the left making it to France by lunch reservation. Stop with Aurora, Alice, and Marie from Aristocrats on the way if we have time. After lunch explore in between France and Germany and visit all the princesses we can. Eat at Biergarten at 6(?). Head over to MK for Halloween party. Woo HOO!

Wednesday September 18th

Breakfast at Chef Mickey's . Head to HS after we are done there. Get in line to do Beauty and the Beast for 11:45 show. Head back to kids area where Little Mermaid and Disney Junior is. Go to the character Meet n Greet area in the Animation building. Meet with Buzz and Woody, Princess Sofia in front of Disney Junior Live! If people feel like doing anything else, go do that, head over to Downtown to eat at Ragland. I was told easiest way to do this is to take bus to a Downtown Disney area resort and then bus to Downtown Disney as their isn't one direct to Downtown Disney from HS. After Ragland take bus to Epcot and watch Illuminations. Monorail to Hotel.

Thursday September 19th
Last day will be open to about 5pm just doing whatever we can fit in or whatever we didn't get to. I imagine it will be spent at MK. So much to do and just not enough time to get everything in. :)

Are you guys looking at doing Everest, Dinosaur and/or Kali while in AK? Just wondering since Cadence should be tall enough...but it may also not be her thing. Our kids are also huge fans of Star Tours and TSMM in DHS, so not sure if you were looking into any of that. On the day you hit MK...I would not take the train. That line for Story Time with Belle grows fast and moves slow. Heading through the castle is a pretty straight shot, but the train is going to take you all the way over to the Great Goofini + you'll have to wait for the train to fully load and have a stop in Frontierland before you make it over to that area. I'm thinking you'd likely get to Maurice's Cottage a good 15-20 min earlier just by walking through the castle. Maybe you could take the train after - it is a nice ride :)

All in all, the plans look great and I'm sure everyone is going to have a blast!

Kali, Everest and Star Tours and ToT are all on my list but doubt Cadence will do any of them. She is almost 48" so she should be good to ride almost anything. It will just be talking her into it. :) I am thinking the train ride should wait but it is on my Mom's must do first thing so I won't make an issue of it.

And honestly, if it's not her thing...it's not worth getting her on one of those and have her not enjoy it. It would be one thing if she asked to ride ToT and hated it after the fact or it was concerning a more mild ride.
